Amazing! It was so fresh and flavorful. The guac was made in front of us, which was cool. The beans had great flavor, the shrimp tacos were the best I've had and the Spicy sauce with them was fantastic. I thought the prices were a little high, but after the freshness and flavor, I'm willing to pay what I did. Will be back next time I'm in town for sure. Well done! And good service!
Well, we liked it. We had fajitas and chicken burrito. Chips and salsa were served and our food wasn't far behind them. Everything was fresh and tasty. After reading the reviews I asked our server if we needed to check a price would they tell us? He said sure. So, if you are concerned, ask. That only makes sense to me. He also told us the drink menu without the prices were temporary. Nice selection of beers and a really nice bar. Prices are a tad higher than others Mexican places, but we were happy with our food and service by Denis. Bottom line is we will come back.
I think some people are being a little harsh, I agree with the drink prices, but our food was delicious. It's a new place. Hopefully, they read the reviews & get better by them. Sorry but the only thing old Mexico is popular for is the margaritas. There taco salad was like dog food. I think Plaza is just going to get better & better. My steak was awesome. They just need to lower prices & put prices on the drink menu. My boyfriend got shrimp tacos & said they were awesome. His Corona was only 3.00. Give it time, it's new.
Got the burrito San Jose-- a burrito stuffed with chicken, beans of your choice, rice, and chorizo sausage. It was topped with queso and pico de gallo. Hands down the most flavorful bite of Mexican cuisine I've had in comparison to several other Mexican restaurants in the area. Great service and quick service. I will go again!
My husband and I stopped to celebrate our Anniversary and the place was gorgeous inside and the food was amazing! Service was great also! We will definitely be going back! We both chose something off the menu that we never have had and we both was very pleased! Make sure to stop and try them out! We seen they make homemade guacamole but we didn’t know that so we didn’t get any but next time it’s a definite!

Probably the best mexican we have had in pittsburgh. No, it doesn't stand up to the mexican food in Texas but this is good for Pittsburgh. Decent service and quick getting the food out. Nice clean restaurant. Restrooms clean and in working order. Plenty of parking available.
Great place! Friendly and great staff! Clean and fun atmosphere....i walked inside and was totally blown away and super impressed. They also have a patio ... they make fresh guacamole in front of your table. They sing Happy Birthday to a person while I was there and it was absolutely the most highest positive and Good Vibes I've ever heard a song at a restaurant and it was only the regular Happy Birthday song but what they did before and after was fun. It definitely was a celebration in itself. And one of the biggest draft beer i have seen. The picture does not even do it justice. The chicken and beef nachos are out of this world and the queso....whoa mama! A must place to try and go back and go back ......
Some of the best Mexican I've had in a while. It is expensive for sure, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Huge drink menu with really cool margaritas. Great atmosphere and cool interior.
This is the definition of authentic Mexican food at its finest. The atmosphere, the food, and the service is phenomenal. I will definitely be going back.

Two words for the plant based group…Vegan Bowl. As I’ve discussed in other reviews, not a huge mushroom fan. If a restaurant gets me to not pick out the mushrooms it is a sign of some sort of culinary genius. Of course, I could have just ordered without, but I was tired from a long day of dorm packing and just didn’t think about it. So glad I didn’t…absolutely delicious. The portion was massive…and I ate most everything. If you are hungry, as I was, they will not disappoint.
The drinks at the bar looked refreshingly yummy, which was not surprising after looking at the pages deep margarita menu. I was picking up so I’ll have to give one of them a try next time.
The restaurant is spotless and for a place that spacious that was impressive. For Pittsburgh sports lovers, they had the TV’s tuned in and the bar has plenty of space for those wanting to hang out and watch a game. The atmosphere was welcoming for all ages though and the only problem with the menu is that it all looks so good you are bound to over order. It’s okay though, they know how to pack a to-go bag so nothing leaks!

Excellent food. Best fajitas I've had and the house margarita was very good! My husband had the taco and enchilada combo and it was very good. Great salsa and chips! Very good service, friendly staff. We will absolutely be back!!!
