There is only one place that I have gotten a better Bagel, which was at David's in East Village, Manhattan. Since it is not practical to drive to the city just to buy a dozen bagels on a Sunday morning, I had to find somewhere else to get my bagel fix. I have tried multiple places in town, and I won't knock some of their competitors, but I will say this: Anybody can make a decent bagel. In fact, it is difficult to make a bad bagel. But to make great bagels, is an art! And Ami's is Bagel Art! A crunchy exterior that resonates in your ears like a toasted symphony gives way to a soft, chewy, almost fluffy interior. And their in house cream cheese?! Infused with a little something extra to drive your bagel experience home!.. I go with the scallion or veggie cream cheese myself but to each is own... Life is made rich by enjoying the simple pleasures and Ami's takes something as simple as Bagel and makes it a truly pleasurable experience!I wish I could give the 10 stars cuz they deserve it! Get there early for variety! Like anything this good, they go fast!!

Hands down best bagels in CT! No one has come close! You want some comp, you need to go to NYC.

Myself, along with friends and family have enjoyed Ami's Bagels for decades now..you simply can't beat the quality, texture and flavor of their bagels or cream cheese. Get there early if you want a full selection, they don't hang around for long! Cash only.

I came from out of state visiting family and decided to give this bagel spot a try. The owners are amazing, their customer service is great and the bagels and coffee were delicious. Thank you for such a great experience! Hope you both are able to see this and remember this Jersey Girl! God bless
