Food is always, always very good. What is even better is the customer service. I really do believe no place deserves a five, because that leaves no room for improvement. With the food being so good along with the excellent customer service that this place provides in my book gets a 5+. Since it’s opening, I have eaten here several times, but on yesterday our Sunday School class had lunch here and had several members that had never eaten at the Dove’s Nest before and they were so impressed with the food. So glad we chose Dove’s Nest for our monthly lunch outing. In this day and time, there is a shortage of customer service so it was so nice to receive good food and good customer service!!
By far one of the best places in Waxahachie! Great place to shop, the food is amazing and it’s just a great place over all to hang out with your girls!
I was there for lunch on Saturday with a large group. We were seated promptly and had a very attentive server. Our food, as always was amazing! We got several different desserts too. Great place to eat and shop. I’ll be back soon.
Cindy does a great job with The Dove's Nest, melding comfortable atmosphere with an eclectic, unique menu and fantastic customer service. It's a must-do if you're in Waxahachie, and certainly worth the drive if you're not.

Enjoyed a YUMMY lunch with girlfriends there this past weekend! The sandwiches and salad were delicious and the blackberry crumble dessert was TO.DIE.FOR! A must-eat at spot ( and shop too!) in beautiful Waxahachie
First time in Waxahachie and at the Doves Nest. Highly recommend it! The shop was adorable and the restaurant was super good!
I am here at least once a week for a gals brunch!! And have to refer getting the blackberry bread pudding for desert! It's ahhhhmazing!!! � this is an unbelievable place to have brunch. Doves Nest also just catered my cousins wedding, and it was above and beyond expectations!! If I could live in their kitchen, I would.

My first visit with a friend for my early birthday celebration! AWESOME attentive service, BEST salmon I’ve ever eaten! Crisp seared crunch on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, excellent salad and it’s BYOB! Afterwards, enjoyed shopping the extremely unique store and boutique! What a great spotless place for extremely excellent food, cozy environment and awesome shopping all rolled into one place!
The service was amazing and the meal was excellent. But the pie is really why I go. Shhhhhh!!! Everyone will find out and then it will be all gone when I get there...
We always enjoy spending time shopping here and eating as well.. This is one place we always share a dessert.. yum.. Love the corn relish also :) yum ..

We tried the Doves Nest last night for a reserved Valentines Day Dinner and it was way better than expected. Love the food and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to eating here more often. Highly recommend.

The food was fresh, unique and very tasty. We had the bourbon chocolate pecan pie and it was excellent.
Food very enjoyable. Surroundings intriguing. The waitress that took my hand and prayed for me for complete healing and quick restoring and blessings over my husband and I, was marvelous!

The Doves Nest is tucked inside the shop/boutique of the same name. Plenty of seating but a nice cozy bistro/cafe vibe mixed with rustic charm. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Food was made to order and came out pretty quickly. Prices were decent for the quality of the food.
I had the Ham and Jam which was VERY Delicious. All the elements worked well together. Highly recommend. The other photo show is the club panini and it was Stacked with the sliced turkey. I subbed the chips for the soup of the day which was White Chili Chicken. It was good but the sandwiches were 10x better.
The only iced tea they had was a spiced orange tea. It wasn't bad but I personally think it would work better as a warm tea. Still a decent drink and worth a try, just wish I had another option.
All in all it is a lovely place with great people and even better food.
We were here for a rehearsal dinner. From what I understand this isn’t something they normally do, but we enjoyed our time here very much! And we think they should consider becoming the venue for more dinners/evening events.
There was a charcuterie board, cocktail shrimp, and pimento cheese balls for an appetizer. Or favorite was the charcuterie board!
For dinner, we had steak, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Then for dessert we had the butter pie and the molten chocolate cake. All were amazing!

Really nice little restaurant just off of the Town square in downtown Waxahachie. The restaurant is inside a antiques and craft store which is a little confusing at first but it is a huge background that has big windows with natural light and really warm decor.
Staff was super friendly and took us right to a table to be seated at our drinks on the table before we had even opened our menus. Fantastic service!
My son and I both had the burger with kettle chips and a corn relish and my wife had the heirloom tomato salad with fresh mozzarella. The burgers were kind of ordinary but still good and the fresh mustard on them was really good. The kettle chips and cornrows were excellent. The relish was sweet with just a little kick from the peppers.
The heirloom tomato salad was one of the best salads she had ever eaten according to my wife. Everything was very fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette dressing had a very pleasant little Tang that she really enjoyed.
Highly recommend this place for a light lunch especially if you're planning to explore downtown waxahachie.

The wait wasn't long at all & the hosts were extremely friendly. Food was extraordinary!! The chips that they serve with the panini bread & hamburger has such an original taste. My mother-in-law had the Cobb salad and said it was soo good! I wish we would've tried the dessert but food's servings were just right & hit the spot.
Enjoyable environment, friendly staff, and a budget friendly menu. The meal choices sounded delicious, tasty, and might even be healthy!
While the soup tasted saltier than I prefer, it had a lot of flavor I love with goat cheese! So good for my digestive system.
We ate everything but couldn't resist trying a piece of buttermilk pie we passed in the display case when getting seated. It was to die for, so fresh and plenty for two to share. The pie is prepared fresh for in-house daily sale. I am so glad we tried the pie, even though we felt quite full from the lunch meal.
The wait took a while, but the restaurant is behind a shopping store. So, you can browse around, go to the restrooms, or make a purchase while waiting. It has a local town square charm with a Cracker Barrel ambiance.
While antique shopping/browsing in wonderful Waxahachie. #hachieheart We stopped at The Doves Nest. Fresh food. Great taste. The place is a restaurant and a cool lil store. Service is great. Cheery patient workers and the customers seemed very comfortable. I would like to return if im in Wax again!
