My friends and I had just gotten back from Ghana and were in desperate need of some Ghanaian food. The owner, Ms. Charlotte did not disappoint. We all got different food items and EVERYTHING was great and made us feel like we were back in Ghana. The food is quality and tasty. So glad we found this gem!!! I also tried her mac and cheese and that was great too! She has both African and American dishes on her menu and it’s safe to say she masters both cuisines!
Great food always. Absolutely not the normal canned junk. Fresh food , and a plus Miss. Charlotte is a fine lady. Another hidden gem in West Chester. BTW the place is right across from Montgomery Cycle. Tell them Mr.Godwrench sent you.
Great food, my favorite African restaurant. Charlotte is the best chef in town.

Good food! Please go and taste the delicious Ghanaian dish! Papa bi!
The food and service was awesome!!! I was a little hesitant about trying them out but So glad we did. Can't wait to go back. I had the Red Red with fried plantains & fried chicken... Their fried chicken is awesome
Chef Sizzle has totally earned his name! I've never had a bad bite at their cafe. I go as often as I can. So a Granny's Special is a FULL BREAKFAST and costs about the same as a #2 combo at McDonalds. Guess which tastes better and is much better for you!

Food is Great. Charlotte is amazing. Please visit her.
It's so hard to find good quality homemade ingredients at any restaurant in the area. They are a true diamond in the rough and if you haven't eaten here you are missing out

Super cool people making it happen at the counter and especially in the kitchen...what a cafe should be....home-cooked everything...I was raised in the South...i gotta say, them biscuits & gravy were ridiculous...fried bologna whaaaa?
Great food all made fresh at a great price. Just not the same old same old.
Food and service were great! We will be using this service to cater!

Soul food that touches the SOUL! It's truly divine and squelched my appetite! I had
Grilled chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese...
It was our first time dining here, and also first time tasting African food. The place was small, informal, and cozy. The people there were very friendly and took the time to give us recommendations. We had jollof rice with goat (The rice was seasoned with a mild spicy flavor. We eat a lot of lamb at home but not goat. To me the meat tasted leaner and with a special flavor that lamb doesn't have.), fried rice with fried chicken (The fried rice was very good with a soy sauce flavor; the fried chicken was very good too.), and fried African yam chips with fried fish (It was great, to me it was like fried flour-coated taro sticks and I love taro.) All were big portions. The first two dishes were served with salad. It came down to just under $20 each. Once we placed the order we were told it would take 25min+ for the food to be cooked. It was indeed that which felt a bit long. Would like to be back and try a few other things on the menu.
I enjoyed the fufu with Palmnut soup. It was hot , Kama. It even had some snail in it.
Spent $21 , you should call them to place order if you want to be served immediately you get there.
Ha
I wish the music was lower tho. I think there should be some extra ginger on the side in case you want it extra spicy
They have most of the dishes , jollof, waakye, banku , fufu, ampesi
Outstanding food!!! The jerk chicken is the best I have ever had. I even ordered some to go after taking the first bite! The oxtail was cooked absolutely perfect falling off the bone and incredibly juicy. I am a fan! I will be back with friends. You will not be disappointed. Support this local, small business! I was so impressed I even purchased some home made natural body fragrance. I chose the Tuscan Leather but the Musks also smelled good. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! Bring your friends!!!

Get a taste of West Africa right here in West Chester, Ohio. I loved trying the food, especially the meringues! Chef Charlotte is a true mastermind and you won't regret trying the new dishes at Divine Appetite.
The food is delicious the place needs a consistent deep cleaning
Friendly welcoming customer service is lacking.
But the food is excellent.
Excellent food ! Will return again!!
I have been to Divine Appetite Cafe a few times and the food has been consistently delicious. They have great options for both vegetarians and meat eaters which I have in my household. Our favorites are the Jollof Rice, Fried Chicken, Rice and Pigeon Peas and green beans. They also make some great fries. The owner is always very friendly and welcoming. Try them out and support this local gem.
Delicious! Friendly! For takeout, call it in instead of the menufi online ordering app. The app charged us but didn't send the order so we had to order again and wait when it would have been ready if we called it in. Try a bag of cookies!
I Got Waakye And Goat meat stew from here today and it was Perfect!!! They give you a lot of food!! 3 adults can share one pack it was $15.50 and let me tell you I got my money's worth for sure and a lot of goat meat plus gari, macaroni, and salad too. I'm from Ghana and it reminded me of the soft waakye from back home. The owner is also very pleasant it was a lovely experience and I will definitely be back. 2 people got red red(beans and plantains) while i was waiting for my food so it must be delicious too I will try that next time.
We had such a divine experience. Customer service was outstanding. The food was made fresh and was quality ingredients. We are going start conning to this spot frequently. Highly highly recommend!
This was so good. I happened upon it while I was waiting for my car to be worked on nearby. I asked for vegetarian suggestions and was not disappointed. I got a big portion of flat bread (excellent!), collard greens and fried plantains. Everything was so good. I had to wait a little longer than I expected, but I saw why when I received my food. Cooked to order and delicious!
Amazing flavor, 100% recommend! We got the goat soup with fufu which was BOMB - incredibly delicious and perfectly spicy, jollof with stewed goat, koko and kelewele. This will absolutely be our go-to for Ghanaian food in Cincinnati from here on out!
Fantastic food. Authentic and Americanized versions of African food. I got the Jollof Rice with chicken, some of the tastiest fried chicken I've ever had, and some nice and spicy will seasoned rice.
A bit pricey at 10+ for pretty much everything, but it is good!
Absolutely DELICIOUS best soul food I've had in Ohio !!! Thanks we WILL be back
Went through Door Dash as well. Got the mac and cheese, jerk chicken, yams, and greens (OMG best I have ever had). Best soul food I have tasted in Cincinnati thus far. Not expensive neither for the portions. Will definitely order again.
If you want a truly unique experience then this place is for you. Full of charm and cooking from scratch the Divine Appetite Cafe is a great place to go for lovers of good food. Be it authentic African cuisine or soul food made with love this place cannot be overstated as a foodie must try. Be sure to get the Red Red and try those truly divine fried plantains...
