What a hidden gem! We decided to try something new and I'm so glad we did. My hamburger was great and my husband loved the huge fish sandwich. We also got the Buckeye pretzel bites but they were almost gone before I got picture. They atmosphere was very cozy and the staff is very friendly. My only suggestion to management is to fix the bathroom.

9/23/23 Came back today for lunch. We both got the battered fish dinner, I had fried and grilled broccoli and he had the onion rings and mashed potatoes with gravy. They didn't have the pretzels but we got the beer cheese which went well with the fish, fries, broccoli and onion rings. We both had orange cranberry mimosas. Another Saturday morning brought us to a place we've never been before. The Wooden Barrel is a delightful surprise in so many ways. Quaint little place with simple decor, the staff was wonderful, friendly and fast. And this mom & pop place makes a beautiful breakfast. I had the Wooden Barrel favorite with eggs over easy, hash browns and biscuits and gravy with perfectly cooked bacon. He had the breakfast bowl which has biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, bacon and hash browns with the country gravy. We also got the buckeye pretzel bites with beer cheese. Now let me tell you that these little bites were perfect. Nice and soft, yummy pretzelness and the beer cheese was perfectly seasoned and went well with the bites and then we used the left over to put on the bowl and for me bedside my hash browns. I highly recommend going to West Chester to try it out. It will not disappoint! We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for a lovely breakfast. #cincyphotographer #cincyfoodie #lunaprojectart

Super friendly waitstaff and probably the best chicken fried steak that I have ever had. Fluffy pancakes and crispy fried goetta. Strong coffee with plenty of creamer provided they left the carafe which I always appreciate.

Enjoyed lunch here today with a group of 10 people. I had the Turkey Bacon Melt on wheat and I had them prepare it hot. It was pretty good. They are flexible on modifying an item which I like. I heard no one complaining. In the past, I've also had their fish and chips, and the cheese burger. Both meals were very good and they give you a generous piece of fish. We will be back in the spring with our regular monthly scheduled lunch meetings.

Small town family diner with great prices. I had the mushroom and swiss omelet with pancakes, and my husband had the breakfast bowl. The food was good and served hot. The omelet was very mushroomy though, so only order it if you love mushrooms. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. We were seated immediately on a Saturday around 11am. Free parking in the attached lot.

My daughter and I were looking for a breakfast place, so I started my Google search for restaurants. Came across The Wooden Barrel and the reviews were excellent. Decided to give it a try one Saturday morning and the food did NOT disappoint!! We both had coffee and Mom’s Favorite breakfast with the pancakes and added hash browns. Best breakfast around! We even got my Mom and Dad on board😊

Checked out the Wooden Barrel for the first time. I got the country fried steak , and my wife got the fish sandwich. Both dishes were amazing and a great deal. Our waitress was very helpful and the service was extremely good. Will be back soon!

Lives up to the claim. This was a huge piece of fish battered and fried perfectly on a toasted brioche bun with crinkle fries. My husband had the onion rings that were batter fried to a crispy golden brown. Had been hearing about this fish and it did not disappoint. Will go back for sure.
