Book Bums is an incredible oasis for literacy and learning. While they offer engaging classes and book clubs for readers of all ages, Book Bums is also a cafe and coffeehouse with cozy corners and delicious food. The kids’ areas feature rotating themes perfect for inspiring creative play, while tables and couches make perfect spots for adults to steal away with a book, get a little work done, or chat with a friend. Don’t miss the frozen peanut butter hot chocolate or the chicken salad sandwich!

Can’t say enough wonderful things about Book Bums. Dr. Christy and her team of reading/writing experts are phenomenal. Anna, also at Book Bums, has made a huge impact on our child. Their evidence-based ‘Science of Reading’ methods truly make a difference.

Book bums is the best investment I’ve made for my child. My daughter went from not being able to put sounds to their letters to being able to read full books to her kindergarten class. Christy and our tutor, Janette, are the sweetest, most patient and caring individuals I’ve ever introduced to my child. Please take you child here, at least for the assessment, you will not be disappointed.

We have done several programs at Book Bums and love it so much. My son's handwriting has improved greatly, his reading and comprehension is getting better and most importantly his confidence is soaring and he now participates in class. We also love the cafe. It's great for a casual lunch out with my mom friends and for an easy dinner. I'm so glad to have such a great place in West Chester.

Such a wonderful place that makes learning fun! My son absolutely loves the reading workshops, and he looks forward to them all week. The meals, drinks, and snacks are so delicious and never disappoint! Book Bums is a place that makes literacy so engaging to even the smallest of learners. We could not be more impressed!

Love what they’ve done with the new location. Lots of comfortable nooks to grab a book and a latte and lots of tables to get work done at too. They’ve even put in new bakery items! Just wish it was a little closer to me....

Book Bums is supportive of local writers. They provided an ideal space for me to hold a book launch event. And the coffee is excellent.

Love Book Bums! It's a delightful place to get a coffee or lunch. My kids love visiting as it is set up not only to inspire reading, but to invite creative play. Dr. Christy has done a really effective job teaching phonics to my youngest son. Am so grateful to have Book Bums so nearby!

We love Book Bums. It’s a great place to have lunch with a friend. Our grandkids have taken classes there that have greatly enhanced their education, especially our 2nd grader who started Foundations of Literacy before he started Kindergarten. I love the Book Clubs! I read the book suggestions even when I can’t attend. It’s provides a wonderful experience for the whole family.

The Book Bums team has done a wonderful job helping my son become a more confident reader. I highly recommend them if your child needs help. It’s also a wonderful place for my kids to play and explore, they love how the play space changes.
