Girls night with great friends. Bar Avalon was absolutely amazing! Loved the ambience. Staff was great. Very friendly, provided great service. Food was fabulous. Highly recommend the Mussel Bakes - baked in a brick oven served with a lid of pizza crust perfect along with a few tasty Autumn Mule cocktails. Delicious! Great place John Lee! See you again soon! Looking forward to Blues night ! :)

If you can go, go! The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and the food...all excellent! We experienced Brunch on Sunday. Beautiful music from a live band and bottomless mimosas! The Frittata special was amazing! A definite must try! Can't wait to visit again! Thanks Chef Brandt-Lee!

We had a great evening! All you can eat mussels! The calamari was fabulous and our server Kyle very attentive! Great way to send our girl off to college for junior year! She’s going to miss the mussels for a bit! We will be back soon! Thanks for a great night!!

Amazing food, staff, and owner! I didn't particularly care for the drink I ordered, and even though we were going to keep it, the owner insisted on replacing it! That isn't service you will get everywhere in town, in fact, very few places would take care of you like that, so they've earned a customer for life!

Just had Easter Brunch. I have been talking about my food all day. Incredible ambiance and the food and drinks are seriously artwork as well. If you haven't eaten here, you are seriously missing out people!

We are from Denver, CO and planned our wedding and reception at Avalon in West Chester, PA. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food. Everything was so delicious! The restaurant had the intimate/classy vibe we had envisioned and the attention to detail was spectacular from beginning to end. Many thanks to the chef and staff for making our special day so memorable! Can't wait to return for our first anniversary.

I've been coming to West Chester for years, but I finally had dinner at Bar Avalon over the Christmas Holiday. I was very impressed by the upscale yet casual vibe, and I was appreciative that the restaurant was able to accommodate my larger group. The food was fantastic and fresh. My only disappointment was how backed up the bar was, but I'm hoping it was just a slow night and not a regular issue! Took way too long to get drinks the night I was there.

Everything is delicious. The pizza is a favorite…in all of Chesco. The mussels in the pizza make are amazing. My husbands new favorite is the gnocchi. Calamari is the best around.

My group of friends had an amazing brunch at Bar Avalon. The menu differs from the one online by the way. There is a price difference as well. Hopefully they update their website soon. Otherwise, we all ordered some mimosas to start things off and they were really good! I wish they would have had some bottomless specials because it would have made things even more worthwhile. The lobster and spinach eggs benedict was so delicious. The Creamy hollandaise really melted everything in your mouth! The brioche french toast and open face egg and avocado were also pretty good! The croissant beignets were a nice sweet treat! They were like mini toaster strudels with more pizzazz. We have all had better truffle fries but they did the job. The fried egg and bacon sandwich was not one of the favorites either, it honestly did not compare to the other dishes we ordered. Another dish that was a bit of a let down was the scrapple eggs benedict. The scrapple was under seasoned and more on the dry side of things. It desperately needed the hollandaise sauce. The short rib scramble was addicting and kept you digging in for more! The pork was so tender and juicy. I am so glad the dish had mushrooms. They added that extra flavor and texture to the dish making it very memorable. The bread was a nice touch because that sauce was so good. The real star dish that was ordered was the filet tips and two fried eggs. The filet was a little more medium than medium rare but it was still mouth watering when everything was eaten together in one bite. The hollandaise sauce mixed with the egg yolk and filet sauce was a match made in heaven. Everyone just had to have a bite! I highly recommend ordering either the filet tips or short rib scramble! I would definitely return. Our server was pretty amazing as well!

Service and dinner was good. We got the meatball appetizer, which was absolutely covered in gooey mozzarella. We gobbled it up so fast I didn't even get picture. Loved it! For mains we got the short rib and lamb ragu. The ragu was very intense in flavor, the sauce was more like a Roux then a ragu. A little much for me but overall thus is a good spot for a nice meal.

I've never physically eaten in their restaurant but have enjoyed the food through catering and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had and I do mean, EVER HAD. I had called and asked to order a cheesecake for my dad for Father's Day, both Steve and owner went above and beyond to make that happen. Steve not only called me back with an update and a follow up but the owner delivered their West Chester cake down to their Bryn Mawr location and I can't tell you how much I appreciated it. Although neither location isn't very close to us we will be coming to dine here because of their exceptional service and delicious food! Thank you very much for exceptional customer service!!

We always have this place on our appetizer tour. Risotto balls and meatballs are great. This time we mixed it up with salads. Bartenders were great, and provided nice conversation with us.

Great atmosphere and amazing food! We get the white mussels bake every time, so it is a so good. Last night had the lobster ravioli and it was incredible. 10/10 service

Great food as always. The calamari was cooked perfect. Lobster ravioli to die for. Kate was a phenomenal server. The smoked Manhattan was amazing. Couldn't have been better.
