Awesome reincarnation of the Three Little Pigs spot by Andrew Patten. The menu was short and sweet at this newest BYOB in our home town and oh so perfect. Baked oysters Spence are a must. Low Country Boil was fresh, fun and fantastic. Braised short ribs melted in my mouth. Loved the root veggie puree underneath. As if those dishes weren't enough (and they were ample) the citrus cheesecake and ice cream sandwich made us practically roll out of this charming spot onto High St. The patio out back couldn't have been more quaint. Service by Marilyn was top notch and we cannot wait to get back! Just go.
My mother, sister, and I were at Spence for Mother's Day. From the delicious toast appetizer of baba ganoush with broccoli rabe and Parmesan to our fabulous entrees (crab cakes, filet, and lobster ravioli with shrimp and scallops) to our mouth watering ice cream sandwich dessert, we enjoyed each bite and enjoyed the atmosphere!
We ordered the seafood ravioli and the crab cakes. Both were outstanding - possibly the best food in West Chester. The service was excellent. Will definitely be going back many times.
