We dined at Union Kitchen after visiting Elizabeth Park and we were STARVING. It is a great sign when absolutely everything on the starter menu looked divine.
Ordered the mushroom ricotta toast and the short rib tacos as a starter. Delicious! I’m stealing the toast recipe for sure.
Every drink we ordered was strong and flavorful, very refreshing.
Our waitress, Marla, really sold us on everything. Very helpful guidance and didn’t judge the monstrous amount of food we ordered.
Half chicken was super moist with crispy skin and a great sauce. Burger was cooked to perfection. The garlic fried rice was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise.
We mentioned we were on our way back to MD from celebrating our anniversary and Marla brought us over complimentary rose with a romantic history.

Quite a pleasant little place! Despite seeming pork-centric, I had some of the most delicious duck in my life - and a nice mixed drink. Service staff was very attentive and kind, will be going back to try the Salmon!!
Wow! What an absolutely delicious and comfortable dining experience. The steak is AMAZING. I did not picture the Brussel sprouts, but those are a MUST try. You have to dine at this place!
So happy we found this restaurant! Fresh and delicious food. Love their steak with their fresh cut fries with garlic aioli sauce. & was able to get the Happy Hour tuna nachos, which was also very delicious! Short rib mac and cheese is also very tasty, definitely doesn’t taste like basic mac and cheese! They have good drink options as well.
Always come for happy hour .. can’t beat the tuna nachos. But omg ! Brunch is amazing , not sure why it’s not packed . Attentive staff and delicious food. Prob top 3 best tasting brunch spots in weha.
Very nice & would definitely go again!! Atmosphere and service was excellent as well as the food was delicious. Went for brunch and can’t complain. The portion sizes here are definitely big. Overall delicious
One of the best happy hour in Blue Back Square. The tuna nachos were amazing for the price and came with generous portion of tuna. We also loved the ice cream.
I came here to enjoy their Saturday happy hour and also grab some dinner while in West Hartford center. I'd recommend making a reservation since this place definitely gets busy!
Their happy hour is great, they have it daily and also do good drink and food specials. Their tuna nachos in particular were great and you get so much food for the price! I also go a burger which was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The dinner food outside of happy hour was a bit more expensive, but overall it was still decently priced.
Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. I'd definitely give this place a try!
