This has been the pinnacle of my trip to LA. The staff are second to none. Brianna is superb and couldn’t be more hospitable. The history of the place with both actors and musical giants of the American entertainment industry and the ambiance is just the best. You will love the food too. The Baby Back Ribs are great.

Loved it! Drinks and atmosphere were top notch . They even let me smell the chair Jim Morrison pissed on and it’s smelled terrific.

We had a chili dog and a bowl of chili. Delicious and the service was great. The vibe and the history are with the trip alone.

It's a nice atmosphere. Like to play pool sometimes. What can you say, your in L.A.!!! Love how Barney's Beanery decorates the bathrooms and their tables are covered and laminated in picture colleges of famous musicians, actors, dancers you name it.

Old time bar where Jim apparently came in for the odd drink and Jabis had her last meal. In a really cool spot in Hollywood with equally cool people. Staff were decent but do have the Hollywood 'tube which ain't for everyone. Tried a local actors beer. Damn fine. Simple old-school bar. Loved it.

Very delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere was hyped since multiple football games were playing. The service was okay, waiting around a bit, but to their defense, busy football games so they did their best. They are super friendly and inviting all together.

Delicious food? ✔️ Friendly and helpful staff? ✔️ Great ambiance? ✔️ Amazing 100 year history? ✔️ Barney's Beanery is a great place you've probably not heard of. Over its history it has served as a hang-out for Hollywood people ranging from Clara Bow and Errol Flynn to Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin to Charles Bukowski and Quentin Tarantino. Rumor has it that Tarantino wrote the majority of the Pulp Fiction screenplay at his favorite booth. The walls are etched with the names of guests, and there is a plaque stating that Jim Morrison hung out there that is signed by the three remaining The Doors members located at the front corner of the bar near the original entrance. There are license plates up on the wall above the bar. They are a holdover from the era of Route 66 travelers (Route 66 originally ended right out front) that would exchange their license plate for a bowl of chili back during The Depression. Once they had money to pay for the chili they could get their license plate back. The menus are printed as tabloid style newspapers. The food is fantastic, and they apparently have quite the football crowd on Sundays. The chili is where it's at though. They have three types on the menu, and they're all fantastic. (I preferred the Fireman's Chili) BTW, the Bloody Mary was deeeeelish! If you're looking for a place to grab a bite and tipple in WeHo, you'd be mistaken not to give them a go!

Love this place. it has it all when your looking for swanky dive bar with pool tables and decent seating. The food is whatever but decent enough, most people come for the drinks and the vibes. The pricing for drinks are very good. There is a karaoke night on Wednesday which is interesting. Def a overall good hang out with friends or even a date. The location is ideal as it’s in a prime Weho location. It’s a locals spot so def pop in when you get a chance. It’s casual so don’t overthink it. have fun

The service was good, we waited there forever for our food. However, they gave us complimentary snack and additional discount without us having to ask which shows great customer service on their part. They seemed understaffed but the staff didn’t act or look mad they all handled them self with professionalism and kindness. I would definitely go again when we did get our food it was delicious and tasty cooked to perfection. We had the Irish nachos, and some burgers, with drinks. Overall what could have easily been a negative experience turned out to be a great experience because of the professionalism of the staff. Thank you!

Very nice place with good service and nice atmosphere. Prices are fair and food is good. They say it’s a LA Kings bar but we did not see anyone watching the match so sports bar, sure but not really for hockey fans.

I'm going to start by saying that I might not remember her name but the bartender that we had the night that I was there was excellent. She was a great representative for this restaurant. They ran the air conditioning for a while but they finally turned it off which made it more comfortable and that was a very thoughtful thing to do. And I had a patty melt which I enjoyed.

This is the first location of Barney's Beanery and I love to come here! Barney's is a great place in the daytime for families and a fun hangout after hours for friends and coworkers. It has a huge menu but anytime I go in I have to have their wings. I love to get sweet and spicy and the Diablo (super hot). This Barney's has karaoke night, game nights, and trivia nights on different days of the week. It also has a few arcade games and a few pool tables that only cost a couple dollars to play. One of the fun things about Barney's is the decor. There are so many posters, stickers, music and movie related postings on the walls and even ceiling. I've only known this place to go after hours and enjoy drinks and games with friends but I would still recommend this place for families during the day for a fun dinner feel with neat aesthetics. Service is middle ground. I mean that, from what I've seen the servers are more stern and matter of fact. BUT, I know dealing with bar people and anyone drinking is difficult and you do have to take that with a grain of salt. Barney's is a mix of things that I think all sorts of different people can enjoy!

Why have I not come here before?! This place is historic! Dripping with photos of celebrities along the walls, and real scrap-book-like table tops full of 90’s pop stars and icons. Basically, it’s a rockin’ fun vibe inside. Total diner/rock and roll feels. When I arrived, it was around midnight and karaoke hour was happening. You do not have to have golden vocals to go up on stage to sing. Anyone in their right or drunken minds is invited, and it’s all such good entertainment. The service is fast and friendly. Breakfast served all day, which is awesome. I got their veggie omelette with no cheese, it came loaded with fresh vegetables and a side of excellent whole wheat bread. Others at my table ordered a burger, and it looked and smelled amazing. Highly recommend as a place to get your drink on, or to sober up after a night of partying.

I usually get chilly size with sour cream or the chili spaghetti is wonderful the Wings are yummy too. Service and staff always nice and polite! love shooting pool so the pool tables are great two dollars a game. Sports on all the screens and they have an array extensive beer menu of beers around the World! Love Barney’s On the 3rd Street promenade in Santa Monica also!

The food is better than anything I’ve had to drink here. Old school diner/bar vibes, huge portions. I’d personally stick with beer/wine, the mixed drinks were on the sweeter and lighter side compared to the rest of the strip. Get the chili and queso dip!

This place is so cool, don’t find that many bars like this one anymore. Food is really good, fries are bomb and also the buffalo fried chicken sandwich is so good. Service is kind but slow and often leaves dishes for a long time on the table, so that’s the reason for 4 stars.

Inexpensive drinks, lively crowds, descent food, and great music. What more could you ask for. Wait, did I mention inexpensive drinks. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Barney’s is a great place to hangout in W. Hollywood. Shockingly very normal prices but you get great value in any of the food items you order. Plus you get to experience a piece of Hollywood history in Barney’s. A must visit place for any tourist looking for good food and drinks at a reasonable price
