Old charm with great food
Elegant and yet not pretentious. A great atmosphere to people watch but also with great wine and cocktail selection. Great food, tuna tartare is a favorite.
Super awesome place! It's so moody with a twist of mystique and terrific food! The truffle fries are next level, iv never had fries on that sort of level before- they are perfection. I had the salmon and the portion was a great size, not small at all which was a nice surprise. The staff are super switched on and have some banter which is fun. Would totally go back!
I Adore Dimitri. He's a hoot! A total character taken from the likes of the Clue board game. He's attentive, professional and with just a twist of insanity. Very cool indeed.
Great room. A bit too dim for my liking, but the service is faultless. Great menu, focusing on American bistro faves (lobster pasta, salads, Maryland chicken). Reminded me a lot of The Ivy. Beautiful crowd. The bar is completely on top of things.
Only downside, the dining room was a bit too warm for how full they had it. I was schvitzing a bit.
An local food fanatic. The Tower Bar is one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. The room is gorgeous, the service is faultless, and the food is delicious bistro fare. A lot of celebrity regulars , and the Maitre'd, Dimitri Dimitriov, is a brilliant throwback to the great restaurant personalities of the '30s and '40s.
I'm damn near speechless. The service, food, atmosphere at The Tower Bar was absolutely amazing.
From the time I walked in
Angel and Pedro ensured my experience was top of the line. (They were giving me Ritz Carlton service vibes).
I sat outside overlooking the beautiful L.A. sky's, enjoying the breeze and delightful classical and jazz music.
To make things all the better, my meal was extremely affordable! Who woulda thunk???
So glad I stopped by, and encourage you to do the same.
So damn good! ❤️
The food never fails here it’s always on point and the service is top notch. The Tower burger is mouth watering good must try. Also another staple on the menu is deviled egg. The restaurant is very dark and moody perfect for a date night. They have a great drink menu and all the cocktails are delicious. This is one of my favorite spots in LA.
Top 5 bars I’ve ever visited.
If you’re looking for a low key bar with great cocktails, look no further. A view of Los Angeles, classy feel, and live piano + upright bass jazz…perfection.
Only one complaint — cheesecake wasn’t great. No Graham cracker crust texture…soggy. Get the Oreo sundae!!!
Went here for my birthday in October, Max and I believe her name was Desha were very accommodating and thoughtful. The pizzas and the smoked salmon was TOP NOTCH, and the drinks were amazing!!! They also gave us good recommendations for other places, for us who have never been to Los Angeles as well. Big shout-out to the staff and the manager on duty, will definitely come back again!
Very nice old school vibe on left dinning room. Cool, hip vibe on right side. Bring a flash kit if dinning on left side, impossible to see menu if not. Service was impeccable. Pianist playing was a classy touch. Bartender team couldn’t be more attentive and personable. The fired chicken was very good but the sauce is VERY spicy. Be careful if like me you don’t like spice to put it on. Also, ordered the Waygu special 36 oz steak. Was tough. For $175 I expected more. Also, when price point avg for a entree is around $45 the server should mention price is 300% higher for specials. Overall an excellent Old school Hollywood dinning experience (if on right side).
Also, they sat us 20 min after reservation time. A resatarunt that size should be better then that. Especially with three hostesses.
Try and sit poolside- the music was lovely- a little loud to hold conversation, but it was a spectacular evening. The vegan soup and French fries are outstanding! Everyone was friendly.
Has that old school Hollywood vibe. Airy upscale diner vibes. Food is ok -- it's decent food with ambience. Could have better coffee. Valet parking is the more convenient option.
Valet attendant was very friendly and personable. She keeps you distracted.
Go to dinner - or for a drink after dinner - and have them seat you in the dining room where the bar is - not on the patio. Get the sticky toffee pudding. They also make a good custom omelette for breakfast, during which time one should sit on the patio. It’s a good quiet spot for a business meeting during the day.
10 out of 10. I traveled from Panama City, FL and I was not disappointed. In fact, it was better than I could even imagine. The roast chicken, the rack of lamb, everything was amazing. I will definitely be back, sooner than later!
It’s classic Hollywood, love it or hate it… but I, for one, absolutely love it. My go to order is the burger and fries, sometimes I’ll replace the burger with a Caesar salad but still get fries… because FRIES.

Such a beautiful experience to have had brunch at this Hollywood landmark! Also the personnel was outstanding. Tony thanks for your great energy. Nothing to add! ⭐️Star Sunday
Very low key and good vibes. Didn’t had dinner but could stay at the bar having some wine and enjoying some great jazz. It was really nice
Beautiful setting with amazing views of the city. Lunch only offers beer and wine. Grant was fabulous and helped us throughout.
You cannot go wrong with Tower Bar.
It's a rather expensive restaurant but really worth the "Great Fresh Food", "Very diligent Staff" and of course "the ambiance".
My spouse was celebrating his birthday . It was the height of the pandemic 😷, so we had to sit outside which initially was disappointing. That changed when they seated us at a gorgeous table by the pool and the jazz quartet with that million dollar view of the city . Our server was excellent 👌🏻, and the classic dishes were delicious 😋. We had the Deviled Eggs and the Wedge Salad to start , and the Fried Chicken and Rack of Lamb for our mains . Cocktails were perfectly made and served , we went with the servers suggestion and shared the Ice Cream Sundae . Is the food adventurous ? No , but it is classic American cuisine in a very swanky and expensive place that makes you feel like a million bucks , because it’s well worth every penny . It really has become our favorite go to restaurant for a special evening because it’s a class act , with lovely staff members who know how to treat their guests to a superlative experience . If you want to dress down and desire trendy , molecular cuisine in a loud , Hollywood club kid environment, I don’t think that this is your kind of place , it’s sort of for grownups .
Love this bar and restaurant. They have music on both sides, but we especially enjoy the piano bar side. It's hard to find mellow piano bars these days, so this is a wonderful and classy option. The staff is super friendly and very efficient, drinks are great, food is great, just a wonderful experience.
So the Tower bar was ok. The view is nice but too close to the sun bathers. The design inside is classy traditional and should be great at night time. We decided to try it out for brunch and the food was ok. The Chinese chicken salad may have been the best thing we ordered and we ordered 5 different dishes. The tuna poke was not great at all. Not seasoned well and the color of the tuna was dark grey. The chef should never approve sending out fish like this so I had to send it back. The tacos were ok also but nothing to be excited about and same goes for the burger. All in all, it would be nice for day time drinks and salad. I'm pretty bummed about this as I was really looking forward to the experience.
Such a great vibe and delicious drinks! My server Melissa was so nice and absolutely made my tables night. Such a sweet person and place!
