As a Lyft driver and Intuitive, gay mulatto progressives Neo-pagan screenwriter and forthcoming children’s book author illustrator (Jamylah and the Giants Instagram) inventor: The Twist Spiral Escalator: I visit a lot of Thai restaurants around Los Angeles. Often I find a timid, sweet, recently creamy, pad Thai sauce which I can barely stomach and don’t return for. This disappointment nearly prevented me from trying Sweet Chili; save for the memory of excellent meals there years back. Well, the pad Thai I had two nights ago was stellar. Having prepared pad Thai from scratch for years; I know the exact ingredients and their ratios. Sweet Chili absolutely nailed the exquisite balance between paprika, palm sugar and fish sauce! Sublime!
Hands down, best Thai food in L.A. Ask for Bodie's Special.
Consistently good food in a warmly welcoming atmosphere. Lisa almost always comes out to greet guest and assure you are pleased.
Sweet Chili is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in LA! Lisa, Angel, and the rest of the gang are SO friendly and have created a genuinely amazing place to eat. The food is always fresh, fast and reasonably priced. I could easily eat there everyday (and get very close to doing so!). Top favz are the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and my FAVORITE... the GARDEN ROLLS. It's comfortable and warm and just the best for a casual date night or night out with friends for a long, homey, Thai dinner. A+++++++!
