One of best restaurants you can find near Purdue. I always go for their Spicy Seafood Dry Pot, Stir-fried Eggplants with Potatoes(veggie menu) and Cheongdu Spicy Chicken.
Really good (I want to say it's Cantonese style food) and reminds me of legit Hong Kong 大排檔 flavors. The soups are also quite delicious and fresh, worth a try not MSG soups. They also have casserole/claypot rice with the crispy rice! You can't even get that at a lot of big cities!
Really good! I had the sesame tofu and my friend had the tomato and egg drop soup! Also I recommend the sweet tea as it is brewed fresh and is super satisfying!!
Great little place for those seeking something a little different to scratch that itch for delicious Chinese food.
Their selections seem more authentic to me. Though they have many of the standard "Hong Kong" style Chinese dishes that you'll find anywhere, they also have a list of more authentic items that seem like a minefield to the unfamiliar.
So far we've tried the Princess Chicken, the Salt & Pepper Chicken, and the Chengdu Dry Chili chicken, Garden Chicken, and String Bean Chicken. All have been fantastic, especially the Chengdu. One word of warning for those with a delicate mouth - if they say something is spicy, they mean it. It may very well light up your face.
Like this more than Peppercorn especially Dry Chilli Chicken and Tomato Eggs. Servers here are always nice and orders are fast. The downside now is dine-in experience that is downgraded to disposable dishes and utensils.
The serving portions were large and relatively inexpensive. I've had the fried rice with shrimp and pidan porridge. They were quite delicious. I wished that they had more accommodation for dining alone. Keep in mind that there is a service charge or $1 - $2 automatically added to the bill that I wasn’t told about.
I got the sitr-fried soft noodles with pork as carry out for lunch. It's really good! It's got carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, and bean sprouts as well. Really great value too, looking forward to having the leftovers! The staff were nice and the carry out was well packaged (included a fork, chop sticks, soy sauce, napkins, and a paper menu).
