Spent 3 months there with my son. They were the most caring nurses and doctors.
I gave birth to my first born via c section (high risk) on 3/1/18. Dr Thomas was my doctor.. he did an amazing job and it was very quick!! The nurses in the antepartum floor were amazing and so were the ones in the postpartum. The breastfeeding specialists were very helpful and supportive. My rooms were very nice and all the staff from housekeeping to room service were friendly. I loved dr morel and dr walker. At first they were going to discharge me but dr walker went over my records and made me go see their amazing ultrasound specialist staff who spotted the vessel covering my cervix and I was able to have a healthy baby with no complications.
All of my nurses from this stay have been amazing. This is the second surgery I’ve had at St. Mary’s and most of the nurses I had this time I also had last year who remembered me. Everyone here is so patient, nice, and they really care about you. I’ll be sad when I leave today. Thank you Alex, Luz, Holley, Dorothy, Judith, Frank, Michelle, Preza, and Eithne as well as a few others who I didn’t catch their names. Dr. Lamm and his team are awesome. My mom and I traveled from Virginia Beach, Va just to have Dr. Lamm operate on me for a third time to correct more bone deformities.
I gave birth on December 5, 2017 and I had an excellent delivery, in a very pleasant environment and they were all very loving with me.
I had my daughter on 2/16/18 via c-section with Dr. MacCurdy. He was so attentive and informative throughout my entire high-risk pregnancy, delivery, and now postpartum. Dr. MacCurdy was always available and never made me feel like any question was too silly. We had a few scares in my third trimester and each time we were in triage I was lucky enough to have Shauna as a nurse. She was very sweet and knowledgeable! We were scared and overwhelmed, but each time she made us feel like everything was going to be ok. Her smile and kindness meant so much during those scary moments.
We were also blessed with great nurses in the postpartum unit. Lisa was on the night shift and she was incredible! She was so kind, gentle, and attentive. She would frequently check on us, answer all my silly questions, made sure I had my medications when needed, made me ice packs for my sore belly, and just overall took great care of me! Mary, who was on the day shift, was equally wonderful! She was super sweet and also made us feel comfortable and special with her kindness and attention. We wished we could have taken them both home with us!
I'm so grateful to St. Marys for making this momentous time a wonderful experience! :)

Nurses and doctors are very nice intelligent and thorough. Thank you for such great bedside manner
The NICU and St Mary's Hospital is the best place I've ever been they took really good care of my premature daughter
I’ve only been to this hospital for inpatient rehab after contracting Covid and being intubated for 19 days. I woke up almost completely paralyzed. This place had me at almost full mobility in 4 weeks. The nursing staff was so short handed and completely overworked. However they were so professional and handled all my needs. I don’t know how the did it. Dr C and all her therapist in my opinion are the best in their field. If I ever needed inpatient rehab again I would never choose another place. The nursing staff and nursing practitioners really make a human connection with the patients. One NP even prayed with me. I couldn’t imagine going to another facility. Hands down the best inpatient rehab in the area. Even the security was super helpful. My wife(who was not able to come to the room due to Covid precaution) loved them. She would drop off clean clothes for me and they would deliver them and pick up my dirty ones to deliver back to her. They would even bring food I ordered up to me because they knew the nursing staff was super busy. I wish I could remember all the staffs name while I was there so I could thank them personally. I hope whoever reads this passes the message on to all of them that they are a credit to their profession. Also Gale ( who’s name I do remember) the social worker made all of our paperwork issues a breeze.
I have gotten the coronavirus my next and only step was to go to the nearest hospital to seek medical care. I was then taken care of by this fabulous and most awesome/loving nurse Carmen Reid. She took care of my every need and you could tell she didn’t sigh or snicker like some other nurses do. I hope this review doesn’t fall on deaf ears cause she certainly deserves more than a pat on the back, she is the type of nurse that holds the standards of what a nurse should be today . Thank you Carmen for all you do.
