a very fun place for our girls night and my retirement celebration! Our server was fantastic and he added to our fun night. The food here is a work of art. we ordered a number of things and nothing disappointed. the charcuterie plate & cheese plate appetizers were plenty for 3 and so very delish. Entrees ordered were the roasted chicken, braise chicken crepe and the chef’s special roast pork. We are still raving about the food 24 hours later. Drinks were very good and well made. I ordered the Swamp – I can’t remember what was in it except for the dry ice which made it super fun. Do not skip desert - also a work of art. we had the apple fritters and chocolate tear drop (something? ugh sorry) AND it was actually shaped like a tear drop. Both were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! We were here for 3 hours and the time just flew by. We had so much to celebrate and catch up on and the food would come out at the perfect times. The discussion would then turn to the food with ooh’s and aahh’s. Our server was very good and we didn’t wait for anything.
We made reservations and only had a window of time available to eat dinner. The menu said that everything was made to order and could take 30 minutes to cook. We had exceptional service, got our order in quickly and had a perfectly timed meal. The food was amazing! My daughter and I each had a cup of seafood chowder. It came in a bowl with huge, beautiful shrimp, tasty mussels in the shell, fish and bacon. Delicious! We also split the potato pancake appetizer with goat cheese, spinach, pork belly and I believe a balsamic vinegar reduction. Yum-O! My husband had a Flatbread pizza and ate it all. I can’t wait to go back here to eat again. Several local beer selections were on tap. I had the Oxbow Pale Ale and it was very good.

Excellent food and service. Just be aware that this is not a fast food/ breakfast diner. Meals take a bit more time because everything is made to order and well worth the wait. Have a drink, coffee, whatever and enjoy the relaxing pace.
My husband and I were there for Sunday brunch. We always indulge in the made to order doughnuts. We shared a maple cream doughnut which was a special in honor of Maine Maple Sunday. Delish!
My husband had a special- benedict with bratwurst and peppers and onions which he loved. I created my own omelet from a list of great ingredients. It was so large that I ate half and brought the rest home for another meal.
Indulge yourself! It is a great place to enjoy life.
My family went for a four course dinner, paired with wine, last night and it was out of this world! I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone and I thank James and the rest of his staff for such a delicious meal, amazing service and great music!
As a music enthusiast The Frog and Turtle drew me like a moth to the flame. It secured regular visits with top-shelf service, excellent atmosphere and a kitchen/menu that leaves me beyond impressed (what dishes I've sampled). These folks deserve every penny I've spent.
Always top notch service, hospitality and varied fresh menu. Very special place to go. My favorite Poutine! Excellent, I enjoy it as a meal with a perfect Beveridge

Awesome food and friendly staff with a very warm atmosphere! Great place to enjoy a meal or grab a drink while listening to some talented live musicians!
Amazing!! My first visit, before I even tasted the food ( which was incredible) I knew I’d be back... there was such a good vibe about the place... The icing on the cake was when the owner came to our table... just to say hi and thanks for coming in! It made you feel appreciated!!

Thanks for a fantastic dinner last night! The best seafood crêpe, filled with succulent sea scallops smothered in exquisite roux. We came to see the fantastic show by the Groove Kings band, and will come back again for the gourmet dining.
Excellent food, terrific service, really great live band that was a mix of Sara Bareillis/Norah Jones/Ella Fitzgerald. We really enjoyed the Mason's American Pale Ale too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone �
We were celebrating our Anniversary & Arrived to a card signed by the staff on our table! That was awesome- little touches like that make a place!

You are seriously missing out if you don't come to this amazing eatery. Top notch view, food, service. The Jimmy Benny is a flavor experience beyond comparison. Yum, go for the Grand Mimosa and absolutely don't forget the donuts!!
The Frog and Turtle is a beautiful two floor restaurant right on the Presumpscot river. It overlooks Westbrook and has delightful patio seating on the second floor. The down stairs is a modern tavern style dining room with a large open bar. The upstairs is open breezy and remodeled. The menu was great from home made donuts to home made eggs Benedict. The drinks are made fresh and delicious by the very cheerful bar staff. The servers were on a top level of service from personal conversations to friendly smiles these servers will put a smile on your face on your worst day 😊. We had the delightful and energetic Alex as our server and she was AMAZING! She was fast, personable, respectful, and most of all a great overall server! Roza pitched in with pre bussing and serving the food and was a great section buddy ! The teamwork at this restaurant is top tier I would recommend for all groups of people!
To say Sunday morning brunch was delicious, would be an understatement!!! Recommend making reservations. Drinks were tasty and the staff were all so kind and pleasant!! Eric, our bartender, answered all of our questions while making us feel completely comfortable. Will be back....and please do not forget to get some donuts!!! 🍩

Frog & Turtle goes above and beyond in customer service, servers are very knowledgeable and do an amazing job everytime. The food is phenomenal. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed.
If you stop in make sure to try the seafood chowder!
Fantastic brunch without the Portland wait and prices. Great atmosphere, upper deck is really nice! Super friendly staff - we were thanked by every person from the host to the bartender on the way out!
My starter was a bowl of seafood chowder, and then I had Cajun shrimp tacos. The pairing was perfect for me. The flavors of both are so bold yet they actually compliment each other. Excellent eats! Highly recommend! I almost forgot to mention the atmosphere is calming, and can be romantic too.
The food is always delicious, the service is outstanding! I believe the bartender name is Eric, and he has to be one of the best cocktail makers around!!!
