I came to Kingfish for lunch and I absolutely love this restaurant. The restaurant is in the lobby of the Vanderbilt luxury apartment rentals and hotels. The entire building is super luxurious, and the restaurant recently opened and has beautiful decor and has a beautiful outdoor patio area where you can sit and enjoy wine when the weather is nice. This is a seafood restaurant, and they have an amazing raw bar. I also love the blackened salmon salad and the shrimp risotto. The fish and chips sandwich is also great and the sauce is delicious. Portions are quite large so you can definitely share entrees. Drinks are reasonably priced ($10 for glass of Prosecco and $8-9 for beer). The staff is super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this spot.

Wonderful meal at Kingfish. Spacious and airy inside with a modern design. The service was professional and impeccable. Of course, if the food wasn't good that would all be for naught. I'm happy to say, the food was excellent! The menu is, quite naturally, seafood focused. The grilled octopus appetizer-- a special-- was tender and very tasty. My seared tuna entree with black rice, bok choy and a sesame sauce was right on point. My dining mate's seared mahi mahi special was also delicious. Finished off a great meal with a warm mango tart with vanilla gelato. This restaurant is highly recommended!

The food was good, but service could use some work. My wife ordered several different raw oysters, which she enjoyed. However the waitress never told her which were which. I ordered what was billed as steak medallion, so when she never asked how I wanted it cooked, I didn't think much of it thinking it would be some slices of steak. But when an average sized filet was served, I was surprised. It was cooked medium, though I would've preferred med rare if asked. But not overdone and a fairly tasty cut and sauce. The funny part was the busboy filled my wife's water, but then didn't fill mine, which was lower. Wasn't out because he went to the next table and filled both of theirs. A little while later the waitress came around with water. You guessed it, filled my wife's water, ignored mine and went to next table. I hadn't been nasty or anything, it just seemed like both had the exact same brain fart and didn't fill mine. I did call her back and she filled mine laughing when I told her what happened. Since it was Valentine's Day, it almost seemed like she was maybe a bus-person promoted for the rush. But no long wait for anything. They stopped by frequently so ask if we needed anything. So not horrible service, just needed with.

Kingfish is a restaurant hidden inside the Vanderbilt located in Westbury. 1 year old, don't know why I haven't heard about this gem before. Find it! You will not be disappointed! The beet salad with goat cheese, strawberries & pistachios is unlike any beet salad you have tried before, the muscles were tender and flavorful. Every main dish was exceptional, the beef was tender with a savory sauce, my swordfish was the best I have ever had, served hot ,moist and delicious. The side dishes added to each meal, cooked to perfection. Nothing was overlooked. For desert my favorite was the key lime cheesecake light and creamy and satisfying. Flourless chocolate cake had me wondering how they accomplished that dish. And a wonderful well trained wait staff !! Bravo, take a bow. We will definitely be returning soon.

While Kingfish is considered part of Vanderbilt living ...it is totally open to the public for dining lunch and dinner. Very friendly atmosphere and employees...2 bars..Oysters galore. You won't be disappointed..give it a shot. Pricing moderately..

They did an amazing job with the Vanderbilt and with Kingfish. Absolutely love the decor as well, and kudos to whoever created the cocktail menu. How can you not love an Oyster Bar that has Penne with Crab Ragu on the menu? Excited to have Kingfish in the neighborhood!

Everything you could desire on a plate can be found here at the Kingfish Oyster Bar. The setting is opulent, and the oysters are fresh, well-chilled and shucked. The presentation for every dish ordered was artful. At our table tonight, the star appetizer was the Yellow Tail Poke. My son raved about the flavors while I was taken in by the excellent presentation. The fried oysters were plump and sat upon an avocado mash. The main entrees were equally impressive. The Branzino was the whole fish of the night special. Moist and well cooked with sprigs of thyme with lime and lemon in the belly. My Asian influenced pan roasted chicken was delicious as was the fried rice. The Fish and Chips were crispy, airy and flavorful. The Twin Crab Cakes and Norwegian Salmon were also impressive. A few braved topping off the meal with Gelato-Dutch chocolate and Mascarpone. Simply decadent. And one after dinner drink included their specialty cocktails - Fuego, infused with Fresno pepper, lime tequila, and fresh lime. So use your Google map and set out for the luxurious Vanderbilt in Westbury. The Kingfish Oyster Bar has located just steps inside the front door. All our hats off to our meticulous server Vicktoria and the Chef. Five plus stars here!
