Wow. If you're looking for a restaurant with everything, this is it! This little hidden gem has been open for two months. They cook with only the freshest ingredients, have amazing customer service, and an ambiance like no other. I had the pleasure of enjoying the miso soup, the ribeye cap, the jumbo shrimp, gyozo dumpling, and the sorbet trio. Their sauces are made with authentic Japanese flavors, the gyozo is rolled by hand, and all the meats and vegetables are cut by hand. Kathy was my server and she was just a delight. The owners take great pride in providing an amazing dining experience and the quality of the food is something you definitely notice! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be sorry. If things couldn't get any better, they have a late night Happy Hour.
If you want a quality meal, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Brandon, one of the owners, definitely knows what he's doing. Watch out OC!! This place is where it's at!! I will definitely be back!!

First time coming this Japanese BBQ and won’t be best the last. Great selection of high quality of beef and Pork, the side were great too. Customer services was also really good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
You get more value if you have a good appetite and choose the AYCE option.
The meat quality is nice and fresh.
There are way more options for sides, appetizers, and Ice-cream compared to other similar establishments.
Was definitely worth the hour drive. I look forward to the next time I’m able to go. The quality of the meat was fantastic. Great place for families and groups. They have something for everyone. Would have liked my table to cleaned a little better, there was food on the edge of the table that got on my clothes as I first sat down.
I was very impressed. First things first. The service wowed me. I felt like we were the center of attention with the whole team focusing on us. Like little worker bees 🐝. The food was awesome, but that's only cause my girlfriend cooked it haha. My kids really enjoyed the food as well. The bacon fried rice was amazing. So we went exactly at 5pm when they opened and were the only ones there. After about an hour or so people did start making their way in. But I don't think the service dropped one bit. This team was on top of it. Great job. Place was clean and so were the dishes. I didn't use the bathroom so no comment there. I highly recommend Shinobu Japanese BBQ.
Dinner and a show as one of the tables got completely engulfed in flames, but that was rad as heck! Food was great and we definitely got our money's worth in the 90 minute time limit.

The food quality here is absolutely delicious! The A5 Wagyu beef just melts in your mouth! If you haven't tried it before I highly recommend you order it at least once. I love that there are multiple ice cream and sorbet options and I especially love the yuzu flavor.
Appreciated the quick and polite service as well as the quality meats available. We went with the AYCE platinum choice for $55 and did the $8 upgrade for the A5 wagyu. I would say that in tasting the menu if you are going to do AYCE it’s best to go with at least the gold since this category as well as the platinum had our favorite cuts of meat. Although this price point is a bit more than other places you are getting hugger quality meats and a bigger variety of nice appetizers/sides. For example we got a nice spinach salad, beef carpaccio, and brussel sprouts with bacon included as part of your meal. It was a bit of a trek but worth the time for a pre-valentine’s day dinner.

It is a bit pricier, but the quality of meats is definitely worth it. There are limits on the better items even though it is AYCE.
Kobe zabuton was my favorite.
Honestly prefer this over Anjin since it’s a great price for decent quality meat + appetizers + sides

My GF and I came here by chance a couple weeks ago because Gyu Kaku was booked solid and it was a minimum 40 min wait. So I opened up Yelp and remembered passing by this new place before. So we ended up coming here.
From the Moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant is setup like most of your typical "cook yourself" spots.
Food was fantastic and the bacon fried rice is ridiculously OM-NOM-NOM-NOM! This time around we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday so we went big and ordered the Top of the line Wagyu beef selection. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED! I've never actually tried meat of this caliber and let me tell you, if you have never tried it yourself then you NEED to get on it. The texture and flavor is out of this world. 👍🏾 😁
This was our 2nd trip here and the 1st time we ate here I had asked to speak with the manager because I was really impressed with the overall experience. The manager came right over, his name was Mike if I recall correctly. And he was the most friendly and sincere guy. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and it shows.
Thank you again Mike for the great service and food and overall experience. We will most definitely be back soon. This place had easily become our new favorite "go-to" spot!

The meat from platinum combo is great. All of the other ones (brisket, skirt, belly,..) are like other AYCE places, not so outstanding. The ice cream are great, too. I think customer service is decent here.

The food was DIVINE and the service was the best I have ever seen. Any question were answer professionally by the staff and every cut every Morse of food was as stated divine!
Shinobu Japanese BBQ popped up on yelp when I was looking for something new for Father's Day and the reviews looked pretty good so we decided to give it a shot. Very glad we did. 6 of us shared 2 "sets" (essentially combo meals) and left full. We really enjoyed the bacon fried rice. The meat selection was good. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive, making sure that our drinks were filled and the grill was changed timely.
We started with the Japanese corn dogs which were both tasty and weird.
We'll definitely be going back on cheat days ;)
Went here on a Tuesday night. It wasn't crowded, as expected, so the staff was able to tend to us very well, keeping our drinks filled, grill clean, and table full of meats. The selection of meat is very good, and there are tv screens with sports games playing. It was a good first experience at Shinobi. Definitely coming back here again.
