We get breakfast from here a couple times a year and it’s always great! In my photo I put the Mexican Benedict which was a special and the bottom layer instead of bread was butternut squash which was delicious and innovative. Great service and food!!
The place is hopping. Always good to be busy.
I enjoyed my breakfast! Every last drop. I had the French toast platter and for the first time, the frappe. Everything was flavorful,. I ate every drop.
I encourage you to try strawberry jam on the French toast. I love the syrup container. LMAO
This is a charming little breakfast spot. Clean. Friendly. Great food. Easy to get to on Cass Ave. It reminded me of a California summer in the 1980s. Just a chill place and positive vibes.
Our experience here as always was amazing. Not only do the staff have great attitudes, but they always make sure all of our needs are met. You are greeted with a warm and welcoming smile accompanied by “would you like some coffee”? They are not afraid to be personable, which makes the experience 20x better.
As for our meals, I got the spinach and feta omelette with diced potatoes and a pancake, and my fiancé got the apple cinnamon French toast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausages.
The food was absolutely amazing and it is a full 10/10 must try again!
Had a great breakfast after church. We like the options on the menu, though we went with the standard eggs/hash browns/meat/toast breakfast. Added in a crepe, which was also delicious. We will definitely be back.
Most restaurants have friendly servers. This place they make you feel like family. The food is good, fresh and not greasy. The restrooms are clean too!
If you are looking for a quality breakfast spot in the area, this is the place to go. Drinks are always full. Praying is easily done by card at your table. And the food is more affordable than most establishments in this high inflation time.
I love this place! Good food great prices friendly staff. By the time I sit down they have my coffee at the table and it's always ho and fresh. I highly recommend this place

first time here. ordered take out. Sunday brunch. packed. nice staff. was quoted 20-25min over the phone, took 45 instead. was offered drinks and apologized to while I was waiting. good food, but found what looks like thread in my food. at least it wasn't hair. good eggs Benedict and pancakes. will try it again, wish there was a little attention to detail when putting my order together and could have done without that thread in my food since I had to wait longer than quoted.
The restaurant was reasonably busy and service was very good. The kitchen was fast and the food was prepared well. I no longer live in the area but visit periodically and will make it a regular stop while in town.
The only negative was the noise level in the dining space. It was difficult to have a conversation with others at the table. It was just the ambient noise level, not a particular person or group being loud.

Cozy little spot, atmosphere reminds you of home. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and our waiter was taking our drink order as soon as we sat down. They have a nice breakfast menu, we ordered the traditional eggs benedict and the french toast platter. French toast was delicious, along with the eggs/sausage/bacon/hash browns it came with. The benedict was ok, the hollandaise had a bit too much lemon in it but at least it was homemade. Everything is priced nicely, our entire meal was only about $20 before tip. Nice place to stop in and grab a bite to eat!
Best food I ever had out of all the restaurants I’ve been to. This one has flavor you can taste all through out. The hollandaise sauce is amazing. Best service, best owners ever.
Very solid breakfast place. Nice little place for a simple breakfast. I had the meat lovers skillet (shown in the picture) and it was very good. I would say it is definitely above average for the breakfast options. I’ll be going here again.

Came to Golden Basket on a Sunday with a group of 8. We were all very pleased with the food and service. Our waitress was extremely kind and was able to easily accommodate to our dietary restrictions. The food was affordable, fresh, and not greasy. Will be coming back here!

Love the food, the servers are always friendly and we enjoy coming to eat here every time. Only thing I wish was better was making the end of the meal a little smoother. Do we wait for the check? Do we use the handheld machine the servers have? Do we go up and wait in line at the hostess station?
Recently we've politely sat waiting for the check and to get an entire portion of hashbrowns wrapped up for what was probably 10 minutes but seemed like an eternity when all you want to do is leave and get on with your day. Was strange to us since the server was warming up the coffee quickly. I just abandoned the left over food and we went and stood in line at the hostess station which was another bit of a wait.
Ultimately it is a pleasant experience and the food is awesome.
