My son, Lee Donahue treated our entire family to dinner at T.J.s Couldn't have asked for a better meal or service. We all ate our fill and had some leftovers to bring home. Jazmine was our server and we all agreed she was the most delightful and most competent waitress any of us had ever seen. Cannot say enough good things about T.J.s. It's a favorite place to go. You never get a bad meal at T.J.s!
We stopped in for new years. Our first trip there and we loved it! All the staff were great and the service was amazing! Everyone participated in the count down and screamed happy new year then they offered free food and champagne, which I thought was amazing. There's not very many places that treat there guest like family anymore like they did. Absolutely awesome! Definitely a place I would recommend and we will be back for sure! :)
My daughter and son treated me to dinner yesterday for Father's Day at TJ Sports Garden Restaurant in Wheeling. Great atmosphere with friendly employees. The Jovanni (Giovanni) I got was very good. I thought the onion rings were very good too. My daughter Heather ordered a basket of deep fried green beans for an appetizer and I tried a few of those and they were very good as well. Yesterday being Father's Day, all dad's received a free brownie desert with ice cream and chocolate fudge. It was a large portion and we all shared. It was delicious. If you are ever in Wheeling, I would highly suggest you give them a try. II would definitely go back. Two Thumbs up from me!
Great enjoyable time. 12 of the Navy Cargo Handling Battalion Nine from Moundsville and Columbus,Ohio had a reunion . The waitress was superb! She treated us like kings. I wish I could remember her name she put up with me joking with her This was Saturday night 10 Sep 2016. Highly recommend this place. Great food and one giant TV screen
Love TJ's. I hadn't been there in over 10 years but it's still the great atmosphere and awesome food. Waitress Katelyn was fun to joke around with. Good time. Good food!
Snuck out of Linsly every afternoon to play pool, Time Crisis and, eat cheese fries. TJ's rocks!
Great environment and awesome food!! Best philly chicken hoagie I've ever had and their ravioli w/jalapeños apps were just as good!!! Will probably make anothet trip to Wheeling just to go there!!

So, as I slowly eat my way through the Northern Panhandle, I'm trying to hit all the key places. TJ's Sports Garden in Wheeling is one of them.While not necessarily revered for its culinary offerings, the environment of TJ's is unmatched. Calling it a "sports bar" would be putting it lightly - football field rugs, tons of giant TVs with every sport imaginable, neon beer lights, pool tables and scoreboard decorations. The menu has lots of fried appetizers, burgers, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, wraps and more. I had called in my order, so I actually went to toward the back counter to pick it up. It was quick and done actually much quicker than the time they quoted me. Even better. I got my box full of food and headed out back toward Morgantown.I got the TJ's Par Three Cheeseburgers, which are three cheeseburger sliders with an onion ring. They're topped with mayo, mustard, ketchup, and a pickle on a toasted bun. Sides of "TJ's famous cole slaw and fries."
For a sports bar... ... the food is very good. Nice atmosphere and pretty good service. But it is a sports bar folks.
Surprisingly good. Honestly, I have driven past this place without stopping for years, expecting it to be a dive bar, but have been there twice in the past couple months and enjoyed both visits. The place is much larger inside than it looks from the outside, has a fun atmosphere, nice menu, and GOOD FOOD! I will definitely stop by again, the next time I'm in Wheeling.
Who knew you could get a great Seafood salad in Wheeling, WV? Nachos and burgers are great, too. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly, efficient and easy on the eyes. Can't lose here.

This was one of my favorites when I was back in college 20 years ago. So I stopped with my kids after visiting the Good Zoo. Still as delicious and friendly! My kids loved the popcorn when they sat down. Staff was attentive and friendly.
I ordered the chicken strips meal. The chicken was "fine" but nothing special. The beer-battered fries, however, were AMAZING! In hindsight, I should have just got those! Kind of thick (see picture) but not too thick. Perfect. Baked potato was great too! The server was very attentive and did a perfect job. The staff appears to mesh well and actually enjoy working there. It's a sports-bar and grill atmosphere (like a local Buffalo Wild Wings) so of course it's a touch on the loud side, but you should know that going in. Would recommend.
Great service and atmosphere! Great place to watch games or get together with friends and family.
Menu had many options from a wide selection of appetizers and sandwiches. They also had other meal options like pasta.
My favorite is the popcorn you get when you are seated.

Delicious food and drinks! Very friendly staff, handled a party of 7 with no notice very quickly and professionally! Bri is an amazing waitress!
It was a small reunion of friends at a round table. One of the most enjoyable atmospheres that I've had eating out at a sit-down restaurant. Our waitress Cheyenne was very professional and friendly. She was right on top of taking care of us too! The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were very reasonable! I will definitely be visiting again!
This place hasn't changed in over 20 years, we used to stop here every time we would visit my sister at West Liberty. Still the same great food as before. Great sports memorabilia on the walls and games on tvs.

Cheyenne and Missy took good care of us. Amazingly busy for a Monday night, but no doubt because of the food and atmosphere. We will be back.
