Absolutely delicious!! Service was incredibly friendly. We waited about 15 minutes (we were the only ones there) and considering it’s made to order, I think that’s completely reasonable. The chicken was great and well seasoned. Definitely recommend.
Very nice customer service, I'm sitting in my car waiting for my food. I would suggest calling ahead. The menu looks really good can't wait to taste my catfish and okra, I've been looking for some good catfish. I read the other reviews and decided to try this place. It's a small random building, as I was driving down the street I missed it had to turn around lol
I am from the south and really wanted some southern style cooking. I came for the catfish & collard greens, but was informed that the collards would not be ready until tomorrow. So I chose fried okra instead. I also added mac-n-cheese. After only a few bites I was "like, I have to call this women and tell her that this was hands down the BEST catfish and fried okra I have ever had!!! And I had not even tried the mac-n-cheese yet. It also was soooo good, just too small. I will definitely be a repeat customer. The restaurant could use some TLC on the building but don't let that deter you. The food is worth it! The more customers she can get the more she will be able to do a renovation. Hell, I would come help her paint and I don't even really know her or her name!
Mannn. When I say this was well worth the trip, I mean it. Fried ribs. Catfish. Chicken wings. All great! Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel at home. I felt like I was really at someone's Mama's house. 🤫
If you love fried okra, Just Like Mama’s Kitchen will be your new go-to. Not soggy at all, breading was delicious, & the okra had great flavor. Mac n cheese & fried corn were both tasty runner-ups. Catfish was fried to perfection, breading was perfectly spiced. Missed out on the cobbler, next time I’ll make sure I beat the evening rush.
