It was good, service was decent. It was slow when we got there. Food was ok. I wouldn't say it was bad, just from what I heard it was supposed to knock my socks off...I was still wearing my socks when I left. Could have been an off day... I'll try again soon.

Right off the I5, this family friendly restaurant is well worth the stop. My wife had the pot roast and not only was it delicious the portion was mighty hearty! I had the Volcano, pancakes piled high with bacon, sausage, and topped with 2 eggs. Delish! The staff was kind and the service prompt.

This is my go-to place. I am a fly fisherman and used to fish the Sacramento River up by Shasta and was going to Black Bear diner before they ever became a chain. The food and service are always terrific and the portions are very large. Last night I had the best meatloaf I had ever had. The only complaint was that the green beans were really too salty.

Ellen made the take-out experience so delightful! She genuinely cares about connecting with each guest. I heard her say "Have a beautiful night!" to every person she encountered. What an asset to the company! Thank you for the yummy taco salad too!

Great visit on 8/14/21. Service was great despite the young man playing host, waiter, server, and cook. They were short staffed and still remained professional and courteous. Food was phenomonal, large portions.
