We had Bill’s Front Porch via their food truck that was at Fermental. Never seen Poutine on a menu in North Carolina, but it did NOT disappoint, so good! The zucchini sticks and fried cauliflower were great, so crispy, and the dipping sauce was nice and spicy. The burgers come with fries too, don’t see that often with food trucks.
Went in for some fried chicken. Got their single fried chicken plate. The sides (green beans, coleslaw, hush puppies and garlic mashed potatoes) were delicious and excellent. The fried chicken itself was moist and fried perfectly but could have had more seasoning in the crust. They have a large amount of beers to choose from.
Awesome beer selection and delicious food. Cozy and more kid friendly than we were expecting. veggie burger was the best I've had in town and my husband devoured his chicken wrap. Great service too. Will be back soon!

Laid back atmosphere and a killer charcuterie plate. This feels like a place that you can spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family. And everyone would have something that interests them. Then there are the beers - well crafted beers. The Wave Breaker IPA, their flagship, sets the tone. The real gems are the hazy/hoppy IPAs they concoct.
Awesome beer choices 🍺 and excellent/flavorful food/portion sizes for the money. Great job 👏🏼 Bill 👍🏼 and thanks to our server 😊
A fun place to grab a bite and try some house made brews. Some of the beer is average, but a few of their offerings are really good, like the Mosaic IPA. The food we ordered was really good, and our server was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the beer.
I did not know this place existed until a bar tender at another brewery enlightened us to check it out. It was a spur of the moment stop I made in my Wilmington Brewery tour. The chicken is absolutely phenomenal and is very addictive.
Such a fun place! Dropped in while on vacation and Donnie was our bartender. He talked with us the whole time we were there and shared his wealth of knowledge about beer and the beer industry. We got to try so many different styles and each one was a quality, traditional example of each style. Can't wait to go back already!
My daughter and I wanted to choose a very special venue for my late husband’s celebration of life - we found it here at Bill’s Brewing in front of Captain Bills. The family friendly nature of the space included pinball, cornhole indoor & outdoor space and the food was amazing. Erin the owner is a gem to work with and Allie the Manager was so customer service oriented. I think everyone who came enjoyed themselves. They allowed us to bring decorations and our own music playlist and we had a fun slide show of some of my husbands pictures through his life. I can wholeheartedly recommend this venue ❤️
We had a catered event at the Taproom. I was very impressed with our menu. We had crispy, tasty fried chicken, nice thick, meaty breast, wings and thighs. Excellent pulled pork with their own brand of tasty barbeque sauce. A very green salad, featuring fresh spinach, strawberries, almonds, feta with a nice strawberry dressing. Hush puppies were crispy and hot. The banana pudding looked on par. It was a buffet, fine by me. Waitron was on point with drink service for a forty person group. Bill's Brewing choices were a greatly welcomed feature for our group. Excellent wide variety of draft choices, served nice and cold!! I would say this is a 1 or 2 on your choices for local Brewing here in Ilm!!!
My girlfriend and i went in today the 30th of march. And had a great time .The server was very helpful with choosing what was good to eat and was her i nice to offer samples of some of the beers. For being my first time it was great . Food was good and priced good for what we got. Had the Cobb salad and my girlfriend had the fried chicken... Wow that is to die for. Great chicken. Would recommend this place to any one. Must go to place
Me and my family love this place. The food is amazing. Family friendly, or bring a date. Pinball machines are amazing and fun, bring back fun memories. The beer is amazing.. You can usually watch sporting events on the TV'S. So if you are looking to just hang out or eat I recommend this place for sure.
We stopped in here first before we started to hit all the breweries in Wilmington. The food was out main attraction. I really did enjoy the beers. Had a few solid IPAs on the menu but I really enjoyed the Peach Milkshake, tasted like a peaches and cream popsicle. The food was really good. I had a brisket sandwich and it was mouthwatering. It wasn't busy when we went and maybe that added to the experience. They do have a 1/2 price appetizer menu 3-7 give or take. The place is spacious and seems to be friendly to families. Worth a stop in for food and a beer or beer or food.
This place is the bomb when it comes to beer, I never thought I’d be a fan of getting a dad bod, but when it’s an IPA on tap, I guess I can compromise!
This place really shines with it’s beer selection and the beer flights are an amazing way to try a few flavors.
The food here is great too, though the loaded tater tots are enough food to feed a small village... I especially loved the Mac and cheese and the chicken sandwich, both of which had small twists on the classics that differentiated them but didn’t ruin the genre, if you know what I mean.
I would definitely go out of my way to check this out, but I’d probably try to get someone else to drive so I could get an extra flight!
The beers were really, REALLY good! We had really good food at Captain Bill's and then went inside to the bar. One of the owners was bartending and gave us info on the brewery and their beers. Great experience. We left with several crowlers.
We happened upon this place on our way home from the aquarium and are so glad we did. The food was phenomenal and the beer was delicious. I loved the atmosphere, it was clean and presentable. Our server was very friendly and attentive as well. All around an excellent joint, we would definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed eating in this place. The food was delicious! The fried chicken and fried green tomatoes were great! The service was really good even though it was busy. Our server was literally running to get things done. The reason I gave four stars is because the beers weren’t the best. They were out of most things and I didn’t live the ones they had.
The place is new has been open less than a month. FINALLY another brewpub in Wilmington! Weve been stuck with one brewpub choice for too long and we needed something new, different and better. Wilmington has its share of really great taprooms, but not brewpubs with a full menu. My wife and I and our son went, stepping inside right off the bat you can tell they put some thought into this place. It looks great inside and is nice and open in seating. All of us got something off the menu and everything was great. Me personally I got the fried chicken dinner, I love fried chicken but have never ordered it in a nice sit down restaurant. But this fried chicken is great and made with love! My wife and son got the Pesto chicken sandwich and the Chicago Dog with fries. Everything including the sides were tasty, you can tell all of the food is made fresh and mostly from scratch. The wife and I got a few beers they brew also, a Mosaic Session, a stout, a Scottish Ale and all were good and went down easy. All in all, we had a great meal in a great setting with a few beers and it didnt break the bank. So, we really enjoyed our visit.
