We were immediately greeted, seated and our orders taken. We have heard only positive feedback for many years about their hot wings and subs. This is a good place for family dining, also quick casual and date nights. Friendly and upbeat servers. BBQ pulled pork sandwich was very flavorful and the pepperoni flatbread perfectly seasoned and cooked with fresh cheeses. French onion soup highly recommended. Arrive hungry! Their garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and tasty. Our kids loved the cheeseburger and fries.

We were a party of six and arrived at 11:30 am. Great restaurant with good atmosphere and we’re treated well by the staff and had a very friendly and attentive waitress Kaylie. Everything was fresh, hot and attractively served. This restaurant has numerous flat screen TVs, pool tables etc. The only negative is that for a group larger than 4 people the seating is limited to bar stools. Which because of age and physical limitations was not ideal for us. The management was taking up at least two tables that would have accommodated us much better but the host said that management was using them and therefore unavailable. I find it unacceptable when management has to use customer areas for conducting their business especially during the lunch hour. Overall I would still recommend this restaurant.

Our server Camron A. was very attentive and friendly. The service for food and drinks was quick. All staff members were friendly during our visit. I got the pub burger, fries and 3 free honey buffalo fried chicken wings. Everything was delicious. I really love the honey buffalo wing sauce. Mon-Fri from 4pm-6pm you get 3 free chicken wings with your first beverage order. My strawberry margarita was very good.

We went at 11pm on a Sunday evening. The host explained they were short staffed with the wait staff and there would be a wait. It was no problem, we were a party of 5 and decided to sit at the bar and we were seated immediately. The appetizer and food were beyond my expectations considering it was so late in the evening. We ordered beer battered cheese curds and they were so good. They came with a sweet and spicy kinda sauce. I ordered the Pub burger with a side of fries and it was very good. The service at the bar was also very good. Very friendly service and great food! Definitely recommend this place for a good meal!

We both had chicken sandwiches with French fries. Both were uniform and of descent size. We were in early before the lunch rush. Service was really slow. My wife was drinking a diet soda. When she asked for another, they told her the syrup was almost out and the taste wouldn't be the same. They offered her water but still charged $3 for a drink that didn't have refills. The atmosphere matched all sports bars. Lots of young fantasy football players.

Came here on a Friday night about 730 didn’t have to wait, the waitress was attentive, fast and very nice. Definitely recommend the taco salad 🥗 but it does have a tad bit of a spice to it, it’s great!

So I personally noticed a huge moral breaker in the bar tenders and server’s since you banned them from wearing their favorite team jerseys. I as manager know how hard it is to get good performances from employees and keep them from leaving. I would personally let them the wear their favorite jerseys and get them an ale house badge to wear over top of that jersey…. Just a thought… It’s really hard to keep good talent… Regards, Robert Paul Evans III

First time at Carolina Ale House in Wilmington-/traveling for work. All I can say is that the bartender, Brittney, is a fantastic bartender. She is “Goldilocks attentive” in that she provides the perfect balance of attentiveness without being over bearing. Food was okay. I wish they had more dark beers on the menu, but Brittney elevated my experience. Don’t mess with any of the others in town. Go for Carolina Ale House-Wilmington.

This is a fabulous place to grab a quick bite of pub style food! Great service, fun atmosphere and good variety of food. They have a large selection of beers and daily specials on mixed drinks. Varsity Burger and Brisket French Dip pictured.

Brittany is the best Bartender in Wilmington and Mike is a close second place. Both manage the atmosphere and create a warm friendly feeling as you get good food and beverage service. They find the sports game you want to watch and put it on the TV, if you ask nicely. Food Menu is good and lots of options. Steak N Cheese is the crowd favorite there. The Buffalo Chicken Zingers, Buffalo Chicken Dip also mouth watering. Good selection of IPA and Draft Beers. Sam Adam's and Tropical Lightning are always nice and cold there. Decent crowd on Friday and Saturday nights it never gets to loud and is family friendly.

Good service and great food. Cheesesteak was surprisingly good, and this is coming from a gal from Philly. And the buffalo chicken wrap was quite tasty as well! Fries were hot and crispy.

My wife and I visited Carolina Ale House to try the French Onion Soup. We ended up ordering the Cheese Curds appetizer, the Steak House Burger, and a bowl of the French Onion Soup. Before discussing the food, I need to mention the server and Manager as well as the physical restaurant. The server was Haley H and she provided fast and friendly service. With her perky upbeat personality and suggestions for items, it was truly enjoyable being served by her. The manager actually walked around the dining area checking to see if we and others were happy or needed anything. That was very impressive. The interior is clean and appropriately lit, decorated, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. My wife reported that the steak house burger was cooked perfectly to medium as she had requested. The burger is massive and well put together. She shared the burger is worth the price and that the fries were well seasoned and crispy. The Cheese curds were slightly oily and with a slight pressing of the napkin made them perfect. They are served with a wonderful slightly sweet and spicy red sauce on the side. The French Onion soup was good. A nice balance of cheese and bread. They top the soup with swiss however, mixing some Gruyere in would have boosted the intricacies of the flavor profile. Not the best French Onion in Wilmington but certainly not the worst. At a price point that is lower than many places (5.49 per bowl), it is well worth the price. The soup is made in-house and has a bold flavorful broth that has several seasonings including thyme and pepper. Sherry is also added to the stock. The beef stock is rather bold and seasoned but works well for this soup. There was a generous portion of onions in the soup however, they could have used a few more minutes of cooking time. They were a little firm for my taste, with regards to expectations for French Onion soup. Overall, the soup gets 3.75 out of 5 stars when compared to other local competitors. (Paddy’s Hollow, Brasserie Du Soleil, etc...) NOTE: The photo of the Cheese Curds is AFTER approximately 25 percent were consumed, the portion is larger than shown. I recommend the Carolina Ale house. A great place for lunch or dinner in a fun, sports-centric environment.
