Since enjoying dinner, post-Isaias, at Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ a few evenings ago, I wanted to fully "digest" the full experience prior to writing this review. My family's negotiational vote fell on hot dogs since we could all agree. FOOD: Mild Italian Sausage with Mustard (added onions & beer cheese topping for $1 additional) Combo with large fountain drink and mac & cheese side - Jumbo Hot Dog with Chili and Mustard Combo with large fountain drink and baked beans side. Overall, I enjoyed the dogs. The Jumbo Hot Dog was plump and juicy, living up to expectations for portion and taste. The chili reminded my wife of a recipe she enjoyed throughout her youth and there was an adequate amount over the dog. The baked beans stood out as a wonderful side, bringing you that Texas southwest smokiness. The Italian Sausage had nice a flavor as well but the exterior casing of the sausage was more on the firm side for my liking (think more "well-done). The seasonings inside this particular sausage had some nice heat but didn't light your mouth on fire. The freshly chopped onions alongside a balance of mustard just went so well with Crave's beer-cheese add-on. I enjoyed the beer-cheese so well, that I'd strongly suggest that Crave would feature it as a mac & beer-cheese side in the future!! The only real area of opportunity noticed (but I can't blame you, Crave) was the bun for the Italian Sausage. You could tell a hurricane just went through and Crave probably had some bread buns that had been on the shelf for a few days. The bread wasn't stale...but it wasn't soft, neither. But still...this was good food for a fair value. SCORE: 3.9 STARS!! SERVICE: My family and I walked together, masked up, and entered. The establishment was very clean, work stations were clear and each staff member were practicing COVID safety measures by wearing masks and gloves. The young lady who took our order was kind, pleasant and soft spoken. I was also greeted by Wayne and his wife, Laura. Both were very cordial, accomodating and eager to socialize with us as their guests. Wayne invited me to visit again some time to sit back and enjoy their local craft and domestic beer offerings on their wall and then thanked us for coming in. What more can you say...5 STAR SERVICE!! OVERALL SCORE: I liked Crave. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food we ate...for the price we paid. Are these those hot dogs and sausages you'll remember as the best you've ever had? Probably not. But they are above average in size, taste and give a fair value with a side and drink. Plus...the beer-cheese pump on the sausage was delish. The service is what really stood out for me though. Inviting, professional, yet, casual staff that prides themselves in their business and valuing their customers. Thank you again for the meals and wonderful service. 4.4 STARS!! IG & FB: @ ILM_Foodie

Excellent food and customer service! I can't wait to go back and try what was recommended this time. The craft beer wall is neat and the comfy chairs in the back area were a nice touch. Will definitely go back.

Trying a brand new place today in 'The Pointe'. "Crave Hot Dogs and Barbeque" is an awesome new spot with great food and drink. It's a little hard to get to because 'The Pointe' is a very nice, very planned commercial area that is still under construction. Equipped with a RFID bracelet you are able to run a tab for self-pour beer. There are 18 brew choices including many local IPA's. Priced by the ounce with pour amounts displayed, it's fairly easy to try many different beers without spending a fortune. The employees are great (helping an older guy with the technically forward thinking beer delivery system), the hot dogs are awesome and the fries are baked to a delicious level of crispness. Next trip I'll give the barbeque a try. It looked and smelled great too. I'll have give them 5 stars today and I can't wait to bring my wife here. Cheers!🍻

It's looks closed when you pull up but it is bright once inside. Food is great and prices are good after you figure out how to read the menu. I will be back for more!

I had never tried Crave before but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They explained everything on the menu and beer wall (more about that in a second) in detail. Also, they have a self-serve beer wall where you can try a bunch of different brands and types. Needless to say I spent a good chunk of time just looking through it and tasting them!

Delicious hot dogs & bratwurst with just the right amount of snap. Steamed buns and a wide variety of toppings.

First time. Tried the brisket sandwich with gluten free bun. Very good. Tater tots of course.

Had a great meal a few days ago. The hot dogs were expensive at about $4.50 a piece (from memory) but were worth the price. I previously thought Charlie Graingers had the best hot dogs in the area, but Crave now holds that title for me. The hot dogs were 100% beef and large, with a soft bun and the right amount of each topping I wanted. My wife got a combo, then when the order was brought to our table I found they actually threw in a free side of tots for me. Those were also fried well! Overall a good experience, just be aware it's gonna cost more than a street stall (but again, worth the price).

I came here with my dad and my grandma and we loved it! The pretzels and beer cheese were amazing. My dad loved the pulled pork and barbecue and my grandmother loved the baked beans! There were also multiple cool barbecue flavors to try that we really enjoyed.

Very impressed with Shawn & the Crave team for catering services in Wilmington NC. The food was delicious and fresh, delivered on time and very affordable for the half trays. I chose the pulled chicken, brisket, mac & cheese and coleslaw. I did not try the hot dogs, but have heard they're good also. Will return!
