Great delivery at a modest price point. Usual Chinese take out/delivery type fare. But, always delivered hot. Ordering online is very user friendly.
I had a craving for Chinese so I gave Lucky Star a try. First, they deliver in less than 30 minutes. Second, the food is amazing. The dishes taste slightly different from what I’m used to but in a good way. There is a sweetness to the dishes. I asked for extra spicy for my soup and they did not disappoint. It was sweet and spicy! Hands down - AMAZING. And it boasted three different meats (chicken, beef, and pork) including tofu. The fried dumplings were also a treat. The filling is a combination of chicken and pork which paired well with the sweet soy sauce. The Hunan beef was perfection, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce was light yet flavorful. I plan on trying the rest of Lucky Star’s menu as it offers Thai and Japanese foods in addition to Chinese. I’m lucky to have found this little gem.

Consistently good Chinese food! We have never been there, we always order from Uber eats and they deliver, but orders always come fresh and hot. And this is one of the few restaurants that serve egg foo young Wilmington.
Delicious. Very good hot and sour soup, great mei fun noodles and really tasty moo shu. We tried veggie Mei fun and veggie moo shu and highly recommend them!
I first ordered food from this restaurant for delivery when I moved into my apartment at the Creek Apartments in September 2022 and have been ordering ever since. The food is hot and delicious and the portions last me for a couple of days. The delivery drivers are friendly too. I would like to especially shout out my delivery driver on December 16, 2022 and the previous Friday.
He helped brighten up my day by being very friendly and polite. If he ever sees this, I’d like to say, I appreciate the great customer service.

I have been ordering from Lucky Star in market for a long time. Always excellent. Delicious Szechuan dumplings, great ribs, fantastic General Taos chicken. Really terrific egg rolls and the only local place for Shrimp toast. Highly recommend.

Hurricane Dorian is nearing Wilmington. Several flash flood warnings, tornado warnings and through the rain and wind, what do I see but an open sign at the Lucky Star Chinese Reataurant. What a beacon of light and awesome Chinese food. Talk about work ethics and determination....
I highly recommend their dumplings, steamed or fried. Their food is always well flavored and well presented. Employees are very friendly and make sure you're in and out asap if you're picking up. Delivery is timely as well. Easily my favorite chinese food a restaurant in town.
My wife and I freaking love these guys! We always order in for delivery and the woman who answers is always super friendly to us! Our food is always here in an incredibly reasonable time! The delivery drivers have also always been very nice and polite to us each time and the food is always hot and freshly cooked to order.
For what it is, Americanized fast food style Chinese delivery, it's damn good! We've ordered from them several times over the last few weeks and the food has always been hot and tasty. Have I had better? Sure, at a higher end sit down authentic Chinese place. But that's like comparing Pizza Hut to an authentic New York or Chicago style pizzeria with a brick oven. There's no comparison.
Ever since this pandemic started, most of not all Chinese restaurants have been closed so I’ve been craving good Chinese food. I was told about Lucky Star on Market Street and how good it was (was). A friend of mine and I decided to try it out. I ordered beef w/ broccoli and pork fried rice, and my friend ordered sesame chicken w/ white rice. I have to say I was a little skeptical because I have never had their food. After one bite I was sold. The broccoli was crispy and had a nice color green and the pork fried rice was amazingly delicious and even had egg. Best fried rice I’ve had in a long time. My friend’s sesame chicken, he said it was pretty good and that he would order from this restaurant again. Lucky Star, you’re a keeper in my book. Thank you for a delicious meal!
