Stopped in today. The penny machine works great! Nice designs. The place is so cute and the music made me want to start dancing. The food truck was there. I had the steak sandwich (they were out of anything with pork!) . It was tender and very good with the sautéed mushrooms and onions. My friend said the tacos were bland :(. The people were really nice. Lots of cool things on display to look at.
Stopped to this roadside attraction on our tour of Rt 66 and could NOT be happier that we did so! The owner was a delightful host, even taking this picture for us, gave us lots of historical background information and wonderful suggestions for the rest of the trip! Small town America at its best! ��
The passion this fella has for route 66 is fantastic, keep up the good work, if I'm ever lucky enough to do this again I'll definitely call in, grab a root beer and have a catch up!
Stopped by today and met Tully. Very nice owner. Took the time to greet and speak to everyone that stopped in. So nice to see what he and the other owner have created so far. What an awesome job they have done. Can't wait to come when the kitchen is open. Congrats and best wishes to you both on your new venture!!
Stopped by here a couple of times. Unfortunately we cant yet rate the food. The upgrades, repairs and attitudes of the new owners get 5+ Stars. They truly do a great job promoting Route 66, Wilmington businesses and overall positive vibes. Keep pushing. Cant wait to see final project.

It's so cool to see Launching Pad reopening..It was my fav place in Wilmington to hang out with friends..They had great food and it was alot of fun to meet people and talk and laugh...Hoping it will be just as great as before..wishing the new owners good luck and thanking them for bringing back a good place to go

Right now it's a welcome center, but things are progressing to reopen the restaurant. Lots still needed to be done, so stop by and purchase Launching Pad or Gemini Giant merchandise. Be sure to say "Hi" to the new owners, Holly and Tully. Great people and they'll take the time to get to know you.
Stopped in with my aunt from out of state. We we're both amazed by how great the place looked, and how wonderfully we were treated by the owners. Great folks!
Stopped by to take a picture with the Gemini Giant, wasn't expecting The Launching Pad to be open but was pleasantly surprised 😊. New owners, newly renovated! Loved talking with Tully and hearing some fabulous stories! We will be back next time we travel route 66. Thanks so much we had a blast!!🚀
