This was my first visit to Sweet T’s on the recommendation of my daughter who is a definite Sonoma foodie snob 😉. As we drove up I noticed that the location is incredibly unassuming resting in a Safeway parking lot. As you enter you are transformed into a new world barbecue joint. A beautiful bar on one side with both in and outside seating. The colors and lines flowed so well for me I couldn’t even tell the place was packed. The hostesses greeted us warmly and sat us on time for our reservation. Our server extraordinaire Kristin brought us our menus and the cocktail list, I knew we were going to be well taken care of. The cocktails are imaginative and super tasty I highly recommend The Sazerac and even more so the Smokestack Old Fashioned which I relied on Kristin help to choose. I apologize for not taking more pictures, I was famished. We started with a half order of Brisket Nachos which was giant and indescribable and very filling for 3. Pictured you see the Brisket Bbq plate, the Fried Chicken Salad and the Rib Sampler with sides of Collard greens and Creamed Corn. Everything was so good it is difficult to pick a favorite, I was lucky to be able to try so much. I know there are many fantastic places located throughout Sonoma County but I think this one will make the top of your list if you try it, it did mine.
Great bbq spot. The food was delicious, wonderful flavor. The menu had a ton of options, even the salads were appetizing.
Our server was delightful, very friendly, prompt and accommodating.
Seats were comfortable and the restaurant has nice ambiance.
This place is busy, so make sure you have reservations.
The hostess was very pleasant, and I loved the outdoor seating that was nice and warm
Ordered a margarita spicy blood orange margarita, and it was palatable.
Salmon patties They were good, but I'll leave my salmon in its simple state.
Mac and cheese is the boooooom!!! It's quite loaded.
Ordered some Southern fried chicken that came with coleslaw mashed potato, and this was really delicious. 👌🏾 I liked how golden crisp it was on the outside and very moist on the inside. It was served nice and hot. The mashed potatoes were very nice and melted in my mouth 😋. I will say the coleslaw was okay.
Shrimp and grits were ok. This was my least favorite meal
The biscuits were ok, nothing special.
Husspuppies just ok.
I was disappointed with the Mississippi mud pie. I was expecting pudding cake and all the goodies, but it was ice cream pie , oh 😔 such a bummer.
Give the southern food its glory.
We went for a birthday celebration and got a bunch of appetizers and then main dishes. Hush puppies were delicious and as an entree I loved the Rib salad. The chicken sliders were good too but a lil salty and I love salt but still really liked em. They were on a sweet Hawaiian type roll. My friend loved their fried chicken plate and the chicken tostada salad. However at the end gave us empty bowls with a candle for our birthday wishes lol...like nothing at all in the bowl. So that was kinda a cheap move lol. Atmosphere was beautiful and the service was great. Will definitely go back
Went with family, sister and great niece. Got there at opening, worked out great. Service was great, no long waiting. Food was DELICIOUS. Took all my leftovers, every drop, of blackened chicken sandwich. Only down is the prices...everything was $25 or $35 bucks. Even sandwiches were jaw dropping but guess that's the normal. It was nice. I plan on going back until I try everything on the whole menu.
I was taken here by a good friend. The service is impeccable and the staff are friendly and witty. The food is top-notch and plentiful. My only real complaint is that even the least expensive dishes are rather spendy. The tap selection is minimal but excellent. I did not look closely at wine and spirits but I assume something similar in that vein.
I am adding this establishment to my "special occasions" list. If you haven't been here then you absolutely must find an occasion to do so!
Our server was awesome! She recommended we get the buffalo cauliflower wings with the sauce on the side: they do stay crispy longer! The hush puppies were everyone’s favorite hands down! The ribs, brisket and tri tip were lovely.Highly recommend the Morning Start: it blow everyone away! The Love and Pisco is adult Kool Aid like our server said!
I love this place! Great Southern cooking from my favorite hush puppies to fried chicken to my favorite chicken, shrimp and sausage gumbo. We had hush puppies and fried brussel sprouts as appetizers both for fantastic. We also shared a spinach salad which we always get it's so good. My wife had shrimp and grits oh so good. I had the gumbo spicy and you can ask for extra spicy if you like. I also tried a cup of their chili which was very good spicy also Loved it. My daughter had the fried chicken just white meat. Their fried chicken is so awesome. Her boyfriend also had the fried chicken both came with garlic mashed potatoes the mashed potatoes were the only thing nobody liked that needs to change. But everything else was awesome I definitely recommend this place It can be a little expensive but it is so worth it if you have never been you need to go.
Heard great things but you have to check it out for yourself! The food was fabulous and we had 1 of almost everything but even if it was sub par the service is what really stuck out! Heather was amazing and informative and kind! Food came out quick and plates were cleared waiting for the next round even quicker! Other servers joke around with our kids (funny gentleman great fake boston accent) and the drinks were top notch! Can’t wait to become a regular here! Thank you heather!
Arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday night without reservations and it was a 2-1/2 hour wait for a table for party of 7. Fortunately, there were seats at the bar and we had our dinner there instead. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Everything we ordered tasted amazing!
Enjoyed a fantastic, hearty dinner here and would definitely come back. We had a party of 6 and we all had big appetites and their menu did not let us down. It was very hard to choose though. Vicky was our server and she is a dynamo of energy and makes great suggestions since she has worked there for 9 years. We started with hush puppies, bbq pork starter sampler, and deviled eggs which were all superb. The drinks are also fantastic, like the margaritas and the penicillin. Then for entrees we had the fried chicken, BBQ platter with biscuits and their incredible sauce, salmon, jambalaya, catfish, and someone had a salad. Sides that were popular were cheese grits and black eyed peas. To finish things, their key lime pie was tasty. What a meal!
Met friends there on a Thursday night. The restaurant was very busy. We were seated right on time, the watermelon cucumber cocktail was fabulous! I had the ribs salad and a cup of clam chowder, both were absolutely delicious. My husband had the salmon cooked perfectly. The sides were fabulous, my friends who had never been there before, said this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend! But make sure you make a reservation because this place was hopping!
I went last night for the first time and tried two cocktails that were on point. The gumbo was exceedingly salty (I noticed it more so when I got home and ate my leftovers). It had great flavor, but the salt overwhelmed the dish. The hushpuppies were delicious and moist as was the biscuit, but unfortunately, the butter cake was dry and I only had two bites.
I’ll definitely return to try other things on the menu. Note that for two people, the tab for two cocktails, two entrees, an app, and one dessert was over $130 (not including tip).
Amazing food I came here with the sole purpose of trying their chicken and waffles. The waffle was crispy and the chicken so juicy and fresh and not too heavy on the breading.
I also tried their brisket and tri-tip. I am a fan of the tri-tip it was so so tender.
Nice service and great outdoor seating.
On our way back from Clear Lake, husband really wanted brisket and we found this spot. And I am so glad we did. He loved his brisket and I (a vegetarian) loved their sides. The Mac n cheese and the sweet potato pudding were really good. And our host Bennet made the whole experience even better, with his thoughtfulness.
On Tuesday, my boyfriend and I were celebrating his birthday and decided to dine at Sweet T’s. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting our server Vickie who was absolutely, without a doubt, one of the kindest severs we have ever had. She was attentive, funny, and incredibly sweet. She suggested two cocktails for us to try, and they were both phenomenal. Our experience was one of the best that we’ve had in quite a long time. From the bottom of both of our hearts, thank you Vickie for being so kind to us both and making my boyfriend’s birthday so special.
What a fantastic place to eat. Our server was very friendly and also very prompt with everything. The food is amazing, and I can't wait to go back.
