We stopped for an early lunch. The wonton soup was really good. And the cashew chicken was excellent tasting and fresh. The server was very attentive. And the food was very reasonably priced. We were here in 2008 and made sure we came back because we liked it so much.
I give them a five star rating for many reasons.
First is that the staff are all very nice and respectful every time I pick up food to go. They always make small talk, which is nice after a long day of work. They always pick up the phone right away and give you a respectable estimated time to pick up your food. Speaking of, the quality of the food is excellent and even though I have never visited any Asian countries, it tastes very authentic and is always full of delicious flavor. Most places that have food that taste that good are usually very expensive. But not New Hong Kong. The prices are very fair and it’s always served very quickly. If you want excellent Chinese/Asian food, eat here. You’ll be happy that you did.
We've been eating here for over 25 years since we first came up chaperoning a high school trip. Since then we've become part time residents and New Hong Kong is always on our regular list of places to eat. We have NEVER had a bad meal here. Flavors are good and portions are generous. Restaurant needs a little sprucing up, but life in a somewhat remote mountain ski town can be pretty up & down, so I'll cut them a little break for now, but it needs to be on their calendar. Otherwise, it's always great food.
Service was very friendly and prompt! The food was good, but the portions are a bit on the smaller side.
These people are the most kind people on earth, and they pour their heart and soul into their food. As locals, we love to grab lunch here because you get a lot of food for your money. It's quick, it tastes great, and it fills us up!
Wow! That's the best word that comes to mind when describing this wonderful establishment. My wife and I are from Cincinnati and have been vacationing with my family here in Winter Park for about a week now. Today we split off from the rest of the gang to get some shopping done and grab a bite to eat. We found New Hong Kong and decided Chinese would be a suitable lunch, and boy was it great! Julie was our hostess and waitress and she was very nice and accommodating. We ordered from the 11am-3pm lunch special and within minutes were treated to our soup. Shortly after, our dumplings were delivered, and in suit so was the main course. We both work at a restaurant back home, Skyline Chili, and we were delighted to find how quickly everything was brought out.
My one complaint is that I cannot bring the restaurant with me on our flight home =(
Keep up the great work you guys, we loved dining with you!
I was very impressed. Hasn't been to this place in 15 ish years and it was great, very reasonably priced and not overwhelmingly busy. Nice calming atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Wonderful food, our favorite Chinese food anywhere globally. It takes a while for the food to arrive at times, but the wait is well worth it! We have been coming to this restaurant for 15 years, it never disappoints. It is also in an ideal location, close to shops and other businesses. This is a gem, not to be missed when staying in Winter Park.
Excellent and friendly service unlike some other restaurants in this area.
Food was great it served fast, hot, large portions and very flavorful. You won't be disappointed
Well priced food that's just delicious. Very friendly staff. 1 details almost makes me give it 4 stars however. We were served sesame Chicken when we ordered sesame beef, the receipt even said beef. It was not too much of a problem to us because we were so hungry! Overall I would recommend it and I look forward to returning!
We ordered carry-out and it was ready within 20 minutes. The chow mein was amazing, and the moo shu chicken was also great. We liked the egg drop and the hot and sour soup. The only things we didn't much care for were that the egg rolls were more spring-roll-sized, and my dad mentioned that the "hot" mustard really was not.
Had padtie and loved it wife had the soup that was delicious both combows

Really quiet restaurant with friendly service. I found the portions were rather large, we definitely had leftovers. The only downside is that they don't do separate checks, which makes it inconvenient for those wishing to split the bill.
Overall the service was great. The food was delivered in a timely fashion and tasted amazing with healthy portioning. Though there were some slight obstacles with the payment, our server was quick to understand and make corrections. Overall we were pleased with our service
