Great beer & pork, not so great service.. I really want to love this place... but just kind of like it.
Don't be fooled by the strange location. It's tucked into the back of an industrial area strip mall, right next door to a daycare. So, it's a nice surprise when you walk inside.
They do SO many things right! An excellent menu of local brews on tap. Fresh, smoked pork and a pretty diverse food menu for a tap room. Fun decor and even a cozy, much coveted corner with a couch and armchairs.
So, I should love it. BUT...
The service ruined it all.
Thursday at 5:00 and there was only 1 waitress to be seen. My husband and I were 2 of maybe 30 people in the place and she was very relaxed for the amount of people waiting to be served. And wait we did. It took her 15 minutes to take our order. And we didnt see her again till we flagged down our tab. We were served and waited on for the duration by a man in sweatpants with zero social skills who found it appropriate to "adjust himself" while diverting eye contact and listening to our food order with zero interest.
The beers arrived promptly. I was impressed that they were served in appropriate glasses for each type. A nice change from the classic pounder glass. And perfect temperature too! But the food took much longer. We would have stayed for a second and third beer if anyone had asked if we wanted one.
This place would be doing it ALL right if they invested more in customer service.
So, I'm going to keep going and hope that they turn enough profit to focus on a wait staff.
Beers and pork always win!
Beer heaven. Collective is the place to go for beer. They have all local brews and things you do not find at grocery stores or other restaurants.
No kids allowed, which is great with me. I heard this used to be a kid cafe with the same owner and that is just funny to hear the bounce house is now stocked with beer.
Sit at the bar if you want good service. The place is packed so sitting in the corners means you have to wait as all the other tables snag your waitress before they can get to you. Very annoying!
The food is actually good. Small kitchen but bacon candy and pulled pork are great. Skip dessert.
Simply Fabulous. If only all bars/tap rooms were as fantastic as this! I have met friends, attended events, parties, and even gone here by myself. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgable about the tap list (which is HUGE), the food is great, and the only thing missing is a root beer tap!
I highly recommend this place to all of my friends and acquantances!

I get a lot of traffic from here and have noted that it doesn't specifically say we are an age-restricted Tavern. Sorry folks, no kiddos allowed!

Good food. Awesome beers. If you are here it is for the beer and there is enough variety everyone will love something. For food go for the Cuban. Excellent with all of the beer choices.

Solid place. Good food good beer menu. Can get swamped and service takes a dive when that happens. Would definitely recommend.
Good food and lots of great beers on tap. For food, we had the Reuben and the chicken quesadilla, and both were excellent.
