Whenever I am in the Woodstock area. I have to stop here and get a turkey club with chips and coleslaw. It is great and the service is great too.
Love the name as an ode to Ben Franklin's chain. It is true to form with simple menu, polite service and hometown, local feel because IT IS!! We have a rule when traveling to avoid chains and look for 3.5 stars. That usually means the food is good and service may not be fine dining level. This is a local diner set in an older outdoor shopping center but, it delivers good food, great prices and served with a smile.
Food was decent but the service was great. We ordered to go food and the cashier was extremely patient and helpful. Our food was done fast and she even brought my son's drink while we were waiting
I came inside with my Gentleman the food was great and the service was delightful.. 10 out of 10 recommend🤤
I am not from the area, in fact I live several hours away but I must say that if I am within even a reasonable distance of Ben's Diner, I'm going there for chow. The staff are personable, friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is tasty, served in good portions and affordable. The roast beef is OFF THE CHAIN! It's truly one of the best hot roast beef sandwiches I've had. And get a shake while you're at it - they are awesome as well. It is truly a joy to come to Ben's Diner when I'm in the area, for I know I'm going to get quality food by qualified people, and have a wonderful time while doing it. :-)
Really good food at a good price!
Bend's Diner is a great place to eat, especially if you want a retro, local experience.
The food here is good and classic. I love the super sirloin burger, though the specials can often tempt me to try something new.
Staff can be great and very quick, though when its busy there is a delay.
A definite reccomend!
I was there with 8 motorcycle friends for breakfast. It is a big diner. Lots of seating for large groups. The food is typical for a diner, prices were good. Service was very good. I will likely be back.
Ben's Diner has been there for many yrs and has little staff turnover. Food is basic American fare, cooked however you ask, and served promptly. Tables spaced per Covid 19 requirements, but there is ample space to accommodate customers at alternating tables and booths. There's also a counter with stools for singles who don't want to take up a booth or table. Overall, fair prices, clean environment and courteous, well-groomed employees and wait staff.
Always great food at a little hometown diner. Wait staff is friendly and attentive, and menu has a good variety. I usually get the Reuban when we go. SO good!
Grew up eating here and it's always been good. I eat here every year when I visit. Get the hot roast beef, with fries or mashed potatoes, gravy on everything. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. It's where the locals eat and is always packed.
Ben's is NOT repeat NOT out of business. Business is very good - and it should be.
Consistently good food, great value, and swell service for my 12 years here. The homemade milk shakes are great, as are the hot RB sandwiches and the Reuben. Fries better than McDonalds, too (that's hard to do), and crisp, hot onion rings. Be careful where you sit at lunch - lotsa tables are "reserved" for local regulars. Don't expect anything fancy, and if you're on a diet... well, go off it. It'll be worth it.
A gem of a crossroads!
