Solid fast casual burger place. great spot for bringing the kids to play on the jungle gym. The outdoor area is functional in all weather. PRO TIPS…
1. Be VERY light on the ice maker. It comes out fast and keeps going after you let off the lever.
2. The jungle gym is fun but filthy, so bring wipes and hand sanitizer.
3. The fries are not kept in warming trays, so ask for fresh ones or be ready for soggy lukewarm fries.
4. Staff doesn’t keep things stocked or kept up so just ask if things like soap or napkins are out.
If you’re a parent: Can’t beat it for the kid entertainment. Also, it’s open 7 days a week which is hard to find in Waco where everything closes Sunday and Monday.
My “beef” with this place: consistency is lacking and they put extra fries on room temp trays so they get bad fast. when it’s busy, the staff does their best but can’t keep up.
This was my first time to stop by a Hat Creek. It's a good spot to grab a quick bite before you get back on the road. The staff was friendly, and the food wasn't bad plus if you're kids are restless they have a play set to help burn some energy.
Absolutely delicious burgers!! Very impressed with the quality and how fast everything was prepared! I am a big fan of all their sauces that are provided as well, hat sauce and fry sauce are a must try!
Very friendly service. I love that they have adult combos, you can have a beer with your meal. I also love that you can have your burger on a bun or in lettuce wrap or just in a bowl. Burger was fresh and hot,seasoned well. I was not happy with the chopped salad.
PROS:
Fresh food and fast service. Our cashier was excellent!! What more could you ask for. (Aug 25th at 6:00pm) Associates were great!!
CONS:
Management not so much he didn't pay any attention to whats going on around him or that we were waiting on something. After our meal we ordered some shakes for the kids and it took 30 mins to get them. Because the manager took the associate away from making the shakes to point out some fries and the stuff he wanted him to do later.
Sir, put the ipad down or hush and let the associates make our shakes. SMH
I was in the area around lunch time and decided to grab something quick after hearing a few people recommend this location. The service was exceptional and the food was great. It may not be my favorite lunch stop, but absolutely a solid choice!
It was my first time there and I definitely had a very good experience. The food was delicious, the burger was scrumptious and the fries were awesome. I loved it. Great place to eat burgers and fries.
