Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff are a few of the reasons my wife and I love this restaurant. If you go in for lunch I would recommend the Cuban or the marinated roast beef sandwich. Don't forget the fries because they are delicious as well. If you go in for dinner get the grilled octopus or the truffle mac and cheese for an appetizer and if you love bourbon get their house old fashion. Then follow it up with either the buttermilk fried chicken or the Sicilian Mac and cheese which are a few of our favorites. Finally, you can never go wrong with any of their brick oven pizzas especially the four flavors. It will be a little bit of a stretch mentally the first time but that is a damn good pizza.
I went here on Valentine’s Day, the prices were pricey but it was Valentine’s Day so it was a special menu. Even though the price was pricey the food was worth it! The drinks were absolutely amazing and the servers there were super nice. I would recommend it to a friend!
Love this place. The building was done to a t. Great atmosphere. Food is delicious. Ask for the green beans with bacon and brie and caramelized onions. It's their new menu item =Awesome sauce. Dont forget to take home the best tiramisu you have ever had.
Perfect for a casual lunch down town. Very clean, cool atmosphere and the wait staff was super polite and on top of things! Also loved the variety of sandwiches and healthier choices on the menu. I’ll definitely be returning!
We stopped here on our way through York. We have known the owner for many, many years but haven't seen him in a long time. This was our first visit to the Iron Horse. Even though we were already looking forward to seeing Charlie's newest venture, we were still blown away by the decor, the cocktails, and the food. My son's Iron Horse Burger was a beautiful stack of flavors. The smoked mozzarella ravioli in cream sauce was a decadent joy. We had a wonderful evening there and hope to return again.
Wow ...the food here is amazing. Randy the chef did a great job. Matt the bartender is a great addition to an awesome team. Loved the local liquid hero beer. Highly recommend.

Every time we come here the food and drinks are great and the service is fast. The owner says always says "hi." I can't wait for summer and eating outside again because the lights are romantic and sitting at the square is so much fun!

Food was pretty good and outdoor dining was really nice. Staff seemed very friendly and seemed to get a lot of repeat customers the way they talked as people would leave. Wife and I are definitely going back.

Nice selection of food and drink. Up scale steampunk Bar and pizza. Crazy fresh ingredients. Wait staff was awesome. Just 1 person took care of our table of 10. Never missed a thing. Nightly specials. In the heart of downtown York. Parking garage 2 blocks down. Weeknights the parking is free. Stop by and support your small business. Stay away from industrial corporate food. Much better selections. We will be back. Came back, meet the owner. Great staff and food. Eat local.
Super cute charming restaurant. They have outdoor seating, staff was friendly. I got the bacon cheeseburger, very delicious and recommend!
Definitely a place to visit for American cuisine lovers, especially the burgers steal the show. The cocktails were good as well.
Really cool environment with some of the interesting ways to hold tables up and light fixtures that are really cool. Reminds me of a steam punk environment with the heavy machinery and chains and stuff. Great eye candy. The server we had the time we visited with wonderful. Very nice and attentive. The food tasted pretty good. As much praise as the environment and our particular server was I have to say the food was a let down. We ordered a flat iron steak (supposedly grass-fed and local to York PA) it was 'good' but tasted burnt and was very chewy. It didn't remind me of a great tasting steak. The broccoli was delicious and the mashed potatoes were great. The wings we had were standard and the salad seemed standard. But again everything tasted relatively good. The prices do not reflect the taste and inadequacies of the food. It wasn't enough for us to be deterred from eating here in the future, but we would try different food items next time.
Just an overall great experience. Food, service, drinks all just exactly what we needed.
We called and reserved a space for 16 (mix of parents and high schoolers) and they were able to accommodate us. From the salads to the sandwiches/burgers to the brick oven pizza everyone left satisfied. And the waitress was amazing - kind, attentive, on top of everything. Will definitely go back when back in York. Thank you!
