Jason Miller and staff have another winner here. Imaginative and ever-changing menu that appeals to all tastes. From appetizers to desserts and everything in between the creativity, thoughtfulness and care that goes into every dish and drink makes this gem a dining must for residents and tourists. We have been there several times and we try a new dish each time. We have not only never been disappointed, we have been very pleased with each choice. There is nothing ordinary or routine about First Hill. It is truly unique and a welcomed addition to York/the seacoast. We can't wait to go there again.
So exited about First Hill! The staff is amazing, the food creative and delicious and the location perfect. Prices are amazing and the wine and beer list is impressive. Very mysterious with no sign outside yet but the place is still packed every night. Clearly Jason and his team are doing something right!
Went to brunch this morning, I'm blown away. High end ingredients and flavors, great price point! A lot of value for your money. I think this could be York's Black Birch. I'm excited to try the patio this summer.
Had dinner for the first time here last night. Such a good meal! Had the fried pickles appetizer, beautiful presentation and so yummy! Had the summer salad with chicken for my dinner and it was amazing. My husband had the haddock and the chef broiled it for him (on the menu it was fried) and then served us our dinner! Nice touch. Our waitress rocked, great local girl. Specialty drinks were also great. The bill was presented on a postcard for us to keep, very classy. Nice addition to York! We will be back for sure!
We loved this New restaurant! The ambience is excellent! The food was outstanding! My family had fish tacos and I had chicken and waffles! My daughter stated that they were the best fish tacos she has ever had! I loved the Frisky Mule cocktail! There were many others to choose from and a great wine list. It was great to see many locals and always great to see Jason and others from the crew from York 54! Nice job! We can’t wait to come back!
A hidden gem. You can go right past it. We ate at the bar and had great food and interaction with the staff.
Jason Miller has done it again.....Finally ate at his 3rd restaurant in York... it's been open 6 months already .... and even though what I wanted wasn't on his ever-changing menu ..we weren't disappointed . .. everything was perfect... won't wait that long to come back.. along with St Joe's and York 54 ..he and all his staff do an amazing job..
Love the 1st Hill Heated olive and salami app
Meal recommend Thia Chicken, Short Ribs or Salmon with spaghetti squash. Nice glass of wine or drink called Antioxidant.
Delicious!! We ordered so many good things! The meatballs with potato chips; the butter lettuce cups; the smoked trout; the desserts were divine! Highly recommend-if you can get in the door
This was our first tine here with friends who have been here.
The service is very good and the food outstanding.put party had the beef short ribs, cheeseburger, Thai chicken, warm olives and salami, lettuce cups, onion rings, arvarcdo toast . The drinks are creative and delicious.

We had such a wonderful time! Been trying to get there and so glad we did, thank you Jason and staff, food was amazing.. blessed to be a part of small town ...super friendly people and good company!! This place will make history...
Fantastic food, great service, and the perfect atmosphere! Definitely our go to place in York! You can’t go wrong!
Our first visit to First Hill. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent! We will definitely be back.
AMAZING FOOD! The menu is super creative and thoughtful! The owner is so wonderful! He cares so much about the guests and their food experience! So lucky to have this great, fun establishment in York!
We enjoyed First Hill. Some items looked great, but lacked flavor/seasoning. Things that are easily fixable. Loved that they offered fresh oysters (one Asian sauce that came w those didn’t make sense). The wings were very tasty. They had some cool house cocktails as well. Cozy dining areas. Try it!
First Hill restaurant is closed.
For breakfast you can still head to St Joe's, and for lunch and dinner go to York 54 restaurant. I will try to have a review of his new taqueria-- York Street Tacos.
How do you build a Restaurant Empire? Follow the example of talented and enterprising Chef Jason Miller.
You start with a unique breakfast nook serving French Quarter beignets. Then you open a lunch Bistro producing the most unique and tasty pizzas in town. Finally, you launch the flagship restaurant, which is named after the tallest of the three hills of Mount Agamenticus.
First Hill is an amalgam of Mediterranean and American fine dining. What is your pleasure: a perfectly grilled ribeye, succulent pork chop, the freshest fish? Here you can still get a good bottle of wine, or a nice microbrew for a fair price.
This is exquisite dining without the snobbery and expense.
There are two designated handicap parking spaces next to a handicap ramp. The ramp will take you to the restaurant entrance on the left or straight ahead to outside dining.
Unique & creative twists on local favorites, as well as a large selection of delicious small plates. Amazing draft list, which is locally focused and well curated! Service attentive, friendly, & very knowledgeable about the menu.
It was good, it wasnt my favorite but I'm glad I got to try it. I had the meatballs with chips, that was yummy, different. My dad tried the ribs, they were really good, the meat fell right off the bone. I had the brussel sprout salad. I added chix, it was kinda boring. I got it with balsamic dressing instead of theor blue cheese because I dont like blue cheese. Amd I also added goat cheese. It was filling and did the job. Not too many choices on the menu for me personally. I dont eat fried or seafood. So options were eh. The desserts werent for me either. But overall it was good.
Original take on poutine, breaded zucchini with cheese curds and sauce similiar to remoulade. We got fish and chips and the pork chop entrees. All were excellent but seasoning was scarce on all three. Plus when I think of poutine, I think smothered;this was lacking seasoning, curds and sauce. We started with the S&M G&T and the blueberry/pomegranate martini. Both were ok, but could have been ramped up a little. Went to the margarita next- that did the trick for flavor and balance. The service was excellent, cheerful and friendly! Portions are generous, prices are reasonable. Adequate parking. If you aren't familiar with the restaurant, you might miss it, it looks like home not a business and signage is minuscule, barely visible. I look forward to going again and reccomend trying it for yourself. It was overall a very pleasant experience!
This hidden gem is a favorite by locals. Delish food, charming environment, great draft beer and wine selection and kind staff. Stop by!
This place is a hidden gem! Salmon was cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere for a private date night and decedent plum bread pudding!
This place came recommended to us and we will sure spread the word of how good it was.
Nice touch to have the chef ask how our meals were. We will certainly be going back soon!
Wow! Surprisingly great food! It's a little hard to notice because of the small, dimly lit sign . . . Just look for all the cars. The interior is a bit odd,. You feel like you're sitting in a private home's bedroom filled with tables. It's sometimes loud and not great if you don't like sitting next to others. Service is very good and food is outstanding.
