We are not very familiar with the area, and discovered it while at the local Mall.
Apparently is fairly new (six months old), but I do hope they do well, because I would love to come back every time we come to NY to visit the grandchildren.
We ordered only sushi/sashimi and raw bar...all fresh and correct serving temperature. The oysters were also fresh and delicious.
Presentation was also nice and artistic.
The culinary delights abound had stone rose steakhouse! I go for a lovely lunch with my daughters for break when we're shopping at the Jefferson Valley mall. They hold special events as well. The waiters are very Attentive
So it was one of those Fridays where I just wanted to eat alone enjoy myself and treat myself. I stumbled across Stone Rose and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. And I'm hard to surprise. So I was greeted promptly host was very sweet then I'm taken to my table. I decided that I was going to do a four-course meal. The waitress helped me decide on what to eat her name is Kaitlyn and I started with the calamari and it is crispy it wasn't a lot of it and it was okay for me because I was having a four-course meal but if i was just having an appetizer and then an entree you might want a little bit more but a great mango dipping sauce. And lobster bisque was superb and even had a savory flavor to it but don't ask the chef it's a secret recipe. I moved on to the parpadelle with shrimp and garlic cream sauce really Superior as well great pappardelle cooked perfectly but there was a little piece of spaghetti from obviously a different dish that was cooked in the water but it's kind of like you got to check that thing chef it takes down the experience a notch. The restaurant has that up upscale chic almost Hamptons kind of feel. But now since we're talking about the interior the side I was sitting on has these random Rows ,three of them, almost halogen looking lights but I think they've been changed to LEDs and they give off a terrible green color the other side of the bar that actually looks out to the parking lot but it looks out to daylight actually gives him more pleasant feeling. About to move on to dessert and as soon as I'm into that I'll let you know. so Caitlin my waitress, very helpful again , helped with the suggestions and the creme brulee is house-made so I definitely went that direction and she's very proud that the coffee they have by the glass is lavazza which is great. Well all I was not let down creme brulee crunchy caramelized sugar on top beautiful custard underneath and the lavazza coffee absolutely delicious. so the staff all of them actually starting about helping people their work as a really well oil team which is really nice to see so those people that complain sorry to see that and I have to say that I did have a few questions for Caitlin if she didn't know the answer she went and found it which is greatly appreciate it. so four stars because I had pieces of other kinds of pasta in my pasta dish the lighting it's really awful on this side of the building needs to be changed but the staff the food definitely I'm coming back thank you Stone Rose and thank you Caitlin!
UPDATE:
Stone Rose take 2 so I'm here again on a Friday it's one week after my last visit Caitlin my great waitress I don't have her today I have Justice. He is an awesome waiter great personality he is very passionate about his work and and very very helpful without being overwhelming. I started out with the gyoza very fresh. then I moved on to two rolls I had one salmon roll and one spicy tuna roll exceptional again very Fresh one was a reverse roll beautiful. The Ginger that they use seems as if it's fresh ginger if not it's really a high-quality it's not your typical pickle ginger that you find at some Asian restaurants. Today I'm changing the stars to 5 and not only because of justice but because the of the consistency. I'm on to the creme brulee and it's as good as the first time and my espresso actually has a good crema on top at which usually you can't get from a pot but Justice was able to do it I'm very happy about that. I think it was unfair to put it to four stars just because of the lights and I think the owner knows it and needs to do something about it to make it more romantic more pleasing. And I think they have a lifelong customer. And I definitely will be requesting Justice when I come back. So it's between Justice and Caitlin:)
Tomahawk rib eye was surprising good. As good as Manhattan steakhouses. Came out on a sizzling stone. French onion soup was great, that had a bit of beer bitter flavor mixed in with the charred crispy cheese.
Note:2 month old baby friendly (when we went at 3 PM)
I'll b honest from the outside it looks like an expensive place but it's not happy hours are the best I've seen in a 20 mile radius.
Prime Rib Wednesday was great. Had a good time out. Live music ,appetizers, drinks.
Interesting mash up of options from sushi to steak to Italian. I did not try anything outside of the sushi and some misc apps but everything was quiet good. For a restaurant that does more then just sushi it was very fresh and we'll balanced (not to heavy on the rice). Also with the happy hour special most rolls are just $5 which is a great deal. Would recommend and plan to go again. Cool environment as well lots of unique features - lighting is a little dark for my taste
I've been told to go here many times and finally stopped by for a drink and appetizer and I was not disappointed. I sat at the bar and was immediately helped and the bartenders were courteous and accommodating. The interior is warm and gives an air of sophistication, but is honestly a really chill and great place to take someone close by for drinks and some light snacks. The place has live music and djs ad well as an outdoor area. The presentation of the food is beautiful and well thought out. It makes my mouth water just looking at my neighbors food. I hope to come back for a full dinner and will write back when I have that chance. I recommend this place if you're looking for a place to hang out that provides live music and a nice outdoor area ♡
Was really surprised to find this steakhouse in the JV mall. We only had lunch but have to say it was quite good. The service was expensive steakhouse quality, very attentive. It seemed like a lot of care went into the interior of the restaurant with old school steakhouse dark leather and wood accoutrements. I was surprised though that my seat in a booth was pretty thoroughly ripped up. Shame.
I would go back another time for dinner to give the steak a try.
My wife and I visited this location Thursday night.
Pros: Drink, Appetizers, and Sushi specials were affordable and fresh. Try the dollar oysters. The busser, Alfredo was such a delicate.
Cons: Our actual server wasn't the most pleasant.
Looking forward to going back.
Good food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Have eaten in there 3 times and take out once. Not a bad meal was had. Everything was cooked as asked. Fresh and delicious.
We had a great steak and excellent service. The menu had a unique combination of Asian dishes as well as a selection of Steak cuts to choose from. Overall we had a very nice time and look forward to dining here again in the future.
