good place and delicious food at a location that could be easily ignored.
The taste is great with a bit sacrifice on the healthiness. My main complain is on the portion of meat for the combination plate 1 - only 2 pieces of lamp. They were out of moni moni that day too, which also down valued my dish. We end up ordering more..
I actually was pretty disappointed today. I’d been here one other time before when I first moved to Albuquerque a little over a year ago, and was excited to go back and have some injeera. The man who was running the place was also very friendly and chatted with me while I ate (both times I was the only customer), but today I was left alone and not checked on. Fine, just a different atmosphere.
The food tasted delicious! But was small in portions, especially for the price. I asked for feta to be added to my plate, and didn’t find out until the bill came that it was an additional $3!!! I definitely wouldn’t have gotten it if I’d known— a mention of that when my order was taken would have been a great heads up. I left feeling a bit ripped off and still hungry, and as a broke college student, for $16.18 I would have preferred to go somewhere else and get a lot more food.
This definitely my top 5 places to eat in Albuquerque. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and delicious, savory food. The owner is so cool, definitely should have a chat with him while you're there. I'm looking forward to the next visit.
