I bought the All American spice rub on a whim at Costco. I do quite a bit of barbecuing on my Traeger pellet smoker and I've been looking for a good commercially prepared universal rub to use... I'm not one of those guys who needs to make my own just so I can that I do. Well, let me say this stuff is good! I did pork belly burnt ends and spare ribs recently, and they turned out fantastic. This rub has a great overall flavor profile... but the part... it's not overly salty. A huge plus in my books!
I recently found in a local store (in Chicago suburbs) the Pork Jerky. The Old-fashioned Maple Bacon Jerky is very good. Compare to other brands with bacon jerky, Pork Barrel BBQ is the top. The Sweet BBQ Bacon Jerky is more like Bacon Candy. Yes, it is more sugar, but still tastefully done. There is no snacking, some now a little later, with this stuff.....once the bag is opened, well it's gone quick!!
This is one of the best seasonings I have ever found .. Its good on any kind of meat hamburgers pork chops pork tenderloin, but chicken especially ..
