My family ate here on the second night they were open. We're going to end up here a lot anyway because we live right across the street, but I have to say that our expectations were exceeded in every category. The decòr is clean and modern with an authentic New England nautical theme. The bar area is distinct and separate from the dining room with a dividing wall -- we felt absolutely at home with our two young kids while people were enjoying a more sports bar environment on the other side on a Sunday night. The service was excellent with lots of attention when needed. The food topped all our expectations. It's a New American menu, or at least a modern pub food approach. There are several 'starter' options as well as sandwiches and full entrees. The food was moderately priced, and actually a bargain when considering the quality. I ordered a classic reuben which was not too highly stacked but perfectly balanced with plenty of flavor. I got the 'flipped' corn side which was amazing. My wife had the fish tacos and she's 100% cajun and therefore she has a discerning palate with fried fish. She finished every bite. Rick, one of the owners, stopped by our table more than once to make sure we were happy. The food was delivered very quickly, though they weren't very busy. The kids ordered grilled cheese with fries. Our eight year old is a connoisseur when it comes to grilled cheese and he gave it high marks. All in all, this is a solid tavern and a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. My only hope is that we don't end up waiting in line in the coming months once the word gets out how good this place is.
