Victory Sweet Shop Opens A New Cafe. The recent Victory expansion inevitably will cause some confusion. There are actually two different venues within this singularly addressed business. The bakery has been in existence since 1968. Victory added the Garden Café in 2012. I believe that listing these as separate entities is beneficial to both Victory and 'spooners.
The Garden Victory Café needs to garner a reputation exclusive of the bakery to properly inform the review reading public.
To be honest, our first venture into the café for lunch was mixed. My wife and I ordered a mini hortopita apiece. They both were dry, bitter, and the pastry had a distinctly burnt quality though it was not obvious to the eye. Our cappuccinos were everything one would expect. Baklava was fine, though not nearly close to the best baklava that I have eaten.
We did not order any entrées due to time constraints. Usually unstated, I reserve the right to re-review when that has been accomplished.
