I am from the Midwest, so a great steak is my go to for special occasions and my favorite thing to eat, hence why my husband brought me here for our anniversary. The ambiance is out of this world. The service is absolutely phenomenal and our server Lane was excellent and very impressive. Not only did Lane tell us in great descriptive details about each dish, but also the history of how some of the dishes were created. The drinks were outstanding, we got "the spice trade" and the table side made maple smoked old fashioneds. They legit come to your table with a cart, torch a maple plank, catch the smoke in the glass for a sweet smokey flavor, and mix the bourbon in the glass with a house made bitters. Excellent. Now let's move onto the amazing food. For an appetizer, we got the lobster chili. Lobster in a buttery Sirracha based sauce with hints of lemon. It came with Texas toast that you could dip in the sauce...a pure delight. Best steak I've had since a trip we took to Omaha! The steaks were so tender you could cut it with a butter knife or even just your fork. We got two beautiful medium cooked filets: one topped with maitre de butter the other topped with blue cheese and red wine sauce. We got the collard greens and the creamed spinach for sides. The collards had a nice smoked taste to them with a hint of sweetness and pecans. The creamed spinach gave a artichoke dip type vibe. For dessert we got the in house pastry chef, Kristen, dessert of the day which was a smores cheesecake. Everything was outstanding. I have frequented many steak houses in Atlanta, and this one is one of the best. This is definitely on a list of our favorite Atlanta restaurants and we will be back again...probably requesting Lane because he's an amazing server.

From the moment we came thru the door to the moment we exited the building, the customer service was superb. I made reservations for my husband's birthday and they made his experience special and memorable. The age restrictions and dress code make it a very grown and sexy ambiance. When seated, our server, Lane, was personable, informative, and an excellent example of what customer service should be . The food was flavorful, steak melted in your mouth, and the sweet potato cheesecake was to die for. The chili lobster, shrimp cocktail, and the wine selection were just a few of our favs. Thank you to all the staff at American Cut for topping off a wonderful birthday for my husband.
