I would rate this as a 5 but the manager there has ticked me off. Which I will get into later. First, let me just say the person that normally does the checkout blonde hair light skin tall usually makes the coffee is absolutely amaizng. Secondly the food is good and they carry dancing goats coffee which is my absolute hands-down favorite! The restaurant is always clean.
Down to the reason why I'm giving them a 4; they give Punch Cards. Every time you buy coffee you get a punch and I was told on Wednesdays you get a double punch. This past Wednesday when I purchased my coffee, the manager checked me out. He would not give me the double punch for Wednesday. Wasn't mad, just said ok. I must have been misinformed. Well, today I go and order a cold brew coffee ($2.15) and a breakfast panini ($3.99). This time the manager won't punch my food card because my sandwich was not $6 or more. Yet, my overall total came out to $6.69. Mind you the food card has to have SIXTEEN (16) purchased lunches in order to receive ONE free sandwich or salad. ONE! Now, that means I have to purchase 16 times at least more than $6 a sandwich. So let's use $7 and do the math (assuming I purchase a sandwich only). 7x16= $96. I have to spend AT LEAST NINETY-SIX DOLLARS in order for me to receive ONE (1) Sandwich or salad.
This resturaunt is a franchise. Are they that stingy with money that they require you to spend almost $100 just to receive one free sandwich or salad?
In my opinion, If I purchase any type of food from their menu, no matter the price; they should be punching my punch card. I am just blown away at the "rules" to this punch card. Since when are there rules? & since when does someone have to spend $100 just to get a free sandwich. I had stopped going to Land of 1,000 Hills because I liked this place a lot; but now knowing how money hungry this company is... I'm second guessing my decision.
Last note: I included photo of my panini and coffee. Which was good so thank you for at least providing good food and drink.
Great place! I was in the area and decided to stop by for lunch, it was between rising roll and Paris bistro. I walked into Paris bistro, and the customer service already wasn't to my liking, also there are barely any good reviews the place. So I headed over to rising roll to try their baked potato, and as soon as I walk in I see an advertisement for their hot pressed Italian sandwich! I just had to go for it. Best decision! It was flavorful, hot and juicy. I will definitely come here again when I'm in the area!
Great food, great staff. I consider myself a foodie and I love this place. It has an awesome menu and does new/featured sandwiches every few months. Every one of them has been great! The staff is so friendly and it’s the same faces year after year... which is really nice and shows me it must be a good place to work. I eat here almost every day and with this menu I never get bored. I don’t frequently leave reviews but after my 1,000th amazing experience today I thought I should :) Thanks guys!
