Hidden spot in North ATX...always drive past and tell myself I'm gonna stop next time, today was that time. Service was super friendly and my waitress Lea was a gem. Started with shrimp gumbo cup, great full flavor and generous with the shrimps! And finished it with Chicken Benjamin... OMG. This is just an outstanding plate. My tea glass was never less than half empty (big plus)

We ate there last night and it was delicious and the service was good! We started with the escargot and it was very flavorful! Both ordered a glass of wine which were reasonably priced and quite good. My hubby and shared the wedge salad & he had a cup of the seafood gumbo which I also sampled. Let me tell you, I'm a snob when it comes to gumbo and I was pleasantly surprised, it was probably one the best I've ever had. I had the the Quarter grill Salmon, my hubby had the Beef and Shrimp pasta. Both were delicious! Didn't have room for dessert but will defiantly have to try the bread pudding I keep hearing about! We'll be coming back for sure!

Some amazing food! We visited here when we were in Austin on a vacation from San Diego. My husband was craving some good seafood and he had some delicious gumbo, which he loved. I do not like fish or seafood or anything of that sort, so I was a little worried when I looked at the menu because there weren't a lot of options that did not have seafood of some sort or mushrooms ( another Nemesis of mine), But I actually had an amazing meal. I had the very best pork tenderloin I've ever had and I had some delicious pineapple chutney on it. The best part? The bread pudding at the end! It even converted my husband to loving bread pudding, which he usually does not even want to try.

I try to eat at this amazing restaurant as often as I can. Everything I have eaten has been exquisite including their daily side dish (corn, cabbage, asparagus, etc.). I always start with a cup (although anywhere else it would be considered a bowl) of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo because it is the best restaurant gumbo I've ever had (that includes my adventures in New Orleans). This restaurant is truly an Austin treasure.

Best food I've had in a long time! We had cups of crawfish Etouffee and shrimp gumbo. Wonderful! The homemade basil vinaigrette and creamy roasted garlic salad dressings were wonderful. For dinner we had grilled Mahi Oscar and pan sautéed red fish oscar. Wow!!!! Dessert was an amazing bread pudding. Service was excellent. The only thing that needs improvement is the wine list- a bit limited. If they would add a French white burgundy to the list it would be perfect!!! Great meal...

My bf and stumbled upon this restaurant the other day. We wanted to try a place we've never been to. It just happened to be a Cajun restaurant, and my bf LOVES Cajun food. There was a bit of a wait for 2, but totally understandable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Basket of bread is always a 👌🏻. The menu is on the pricey side, but it's all seafood so that's also understandable. Totally worth the time and money. Food was seasoned well, sides were delicious, the special of the day was amazing. Everything about our experience was great. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I highly recommend the Mahi dish with mushrooms and spinach! My for time there and the friendly folks at the next table recommended it, although the Beef Wellington special nearly changed my mind. Great service, friendly but not invasive, great presentation, and served quickly. We will be back.

My Fiance and I came here on a recommendation from our hotel staff. When I say it was the best food I have had in a while, I am not exaggerating! We had the Crawfish Beignets as an appetizer, which were really good. For our meal, she had the Shrimp, Crawfish, and Andouille pasta, and I had the Peppered Pork Tenderloin with mango and pineapple chutney. Everything was really flavorful and super delicious. Everyone there was really friendly, and it was a more laid back atmosphere, not so packed like most of the other popular Austin restaurants. Food and service were top notch. We will be back!

This is one of our go too places. The atmosphere is laid back & friendly, Catfish Yoli is my go to dish. Last night I had pescan crusted trout & it was delicious. It was too hot to have red wine so chose white last night & Kallins suggestion was prefect. We'll be back again, thanks for keeping it delicious.

Amazing! Fabulous food, service, and atmosphere. A pleasant surprise nestled in a strip mall of all places. Spot on Cajun cuisine. Oh! And not once did we have to ask for anything. Classes stayed full, plates cleared in a timely and appropriate manner. And the menu! Dear Lord I honestly thought we were in NOLA! Excellent dinner specials and a varied menu. Some thing for everyone. I could rave all night...so stop reading this review and get yourself over to this hidden gem and enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic, wow. I’ve seen this place for years but never took it serious because of the location and being next to Walmart (idk lol) but let me tell you… the food was too notch. I got the Catfish Yoli and the flavors and texture were excellent. Dessert was phenomenal as well. I also took notice of the staff and how it seems like everyone there carries themselves with tenure. It looks live everyone is an expert at what they do. Being from the Mississippi gulf coast I am pretty particular when it comes to this style of cuisine and overall it was 5/5. I am looking forward to coming again! I also loved how once you step inside you’re in a whole new world, you don’t notice the area that you’re in or any of the traffic/road noise.

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! I got the catfish gumbo plate with vegetables and red beans and rice. I haven’t ever been to Louisiana and gotten Cajun food, but I would like to think this is pretty close to Louisiana authentic.

This place has a great ambiance, perfect for a date or quiet dinner. The food is really good. I love that you can substitute the fish in any dish; if it is listed as a catfish meal and has everything you like except the actual fish, you can substitute the catfish for tilapia or whichever kind you want that they have. You can even choose to swap out chicken for fish. The service is great, as well. Overall, just a wonderful experience.

Fried green tomatoes were good. The shrimp and beef pasta was surprisingly good but the shrimp Creole was just ok. Shrimp was fresh but overall the flavor was just a bit off. May have just been me though. My wife liked it. Overall a very nice dinner.

Tasty foods! Great selection of seafood and good sides. Bread is decent. Had the grilled ribeye with caramelized onions and mushrooms. Great flavors without overwhelming the taste of the meat. Had the red fish special with spicy sauce and it was seasoned very well. Service was great. Only odd thing was the layout of the restaurant. Some tables have cloths, some don't, the establishment is partitioned into 2 areas with no real rhyme or reason.

Blackened Catfish Etouffee is HANDS DOWN the best $20 meal in North Austin! Third time I have had it, and it is fantastic. I actually ordered a double helping of white rice. I could have gotten the red beans and rice instead!

I walked in looking like I might skip on the check and was still seated and served very well, I was not expecting to find such an upscale place at this location, food was awesome tasting, I had the Calamari, the complimentary roll and butter just melted in my mouth, I have no idea what they season the butter with but it was soooo tasty. I will come back here again, not alone though, this seems like the perfect spot for a couple to call their favorite restaurant!

Delicious meal enjoyed in a very nice bar setting perfect for solo diners. Friendly bartender & service. The gumbo excellent and filling, the beef & shrimp cheese tortellini was delicious and chocolate crème raspberry brûlée phenomenal! The restaurant is cozy upscale and appears perfect for a business party or romantic meal. So many wines to choose from as well as a full bar.

For me, the food was good. Service was good for our big party without notice. They treated us respectfully. One person in our party of 15+ didn't like the food, but they took her food and didn't charge her. They offered to bring her something different as well.

By no means would I consider myself a Cajun food expert but our meal was spot on. I had the Shrimp, Crawfish & Andouille traditional Louisiana style sausage served over fettuccini tossed in creamy creole tomato sauce and the Mrs. had the Tilapia Almondine Pan sauteed tilapia topped with a creole meuniere sauce, sauteed shrimp and toasted almonds. We loved the entrees so much we chose the Croissant bread pudding for dessert. Wow! It was so refreshing to find a restaurant that had excellent waitstaff and an excellent chef.

Yeah the reviews don’t lie this place is really good for Cajun options in Austin (and I have tried most 😂). I had the gumbo, fried crawfish and prosciutto wrapped salmon. Everything was awesome. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the place had nice ambience! Can’t wait to try more — need to save my appetite for the desert menu too ;)
