Hidden spot in North ATX...always drive past and tell myself I'm gonna stop next time, today was that time.
Service was super friendly and my waitress Lea was a gem.
Started with shrimp gumbo cup, great full flavor and generous with the shrimps!
And finished it with Chicken Benjamin... OMG. This is just an outstanding plate. My tea glass was never less than half empty (big plus)
We ate there last night and it was delicious and the service was good! We started with the escargot and it was very flavorful! Both ordered a glass of wine which were reasonably priced and quite good. My hubby and shared the wedge salad & he had a cup of the seafood gumbo which I also sampled. Let me tell you, I'm a snob when it comes to gumbo and I was pleasantly surprised, it was probably one the best I've ever had. I had the the Quarter grill Salmon, my hubby had the Beef and Shrimp pasta. Both were delicious! Didn't have room for dessert but will defiantly have to try the bread pudding I keep hearing about! We'll be coming back for sure!
Some amazing food! We visited here when we were in Austin on a vacation from San Diego. My husband was craving some good seafood and he had some delicious gumbo, which he loved. I do not like fish or seafood or anything of that sort, so I was a little worried when I looked at the menu because there weren't a lot of options that did not have seafood of some sort or mushrooms ( another Nemesis of mine),
But I actually had an amazing meal. I had the very best pork tenderloin I've ever had and I had some delicious pineapple chutney on it. The best part? The bread pudding at the end! It even converted my husband to loving bread pudding, which he usually does not even want to try.
