Best Taco Bell in the city if you get the afternoon shift, at least. Everyone was happy and joking together in the kitchen, and the food was amazing. It didn't seem soulless like a lot of fast food places are.
With all the real Mexican restaurants around to choose from I don't usually stop at Taco Bell. But sometimes the convenience factor wins over. On this trip I got the Grande Stacker box with a Mexican pizza. I'm not lying, it was all pretty good, even if every item seems to have most of the same ingredients arranged in a different wrapping.
Being one who doesn't eat beef or pork I'm always trying to find places which serve a well rounded meal. As a teen 30 plus years ago I remember going to Taco Bell and getting the cup of pinto beans and cheese. Now they have the Power Bowls- chicken, black beans, rice, cheese, tomatoes, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream. The second Power Bowl comes without the chicken. I've eaten both bowls quite a bit of times, and I enjoy the taste and variety.
One of the problems with being a vegetarian is getting something to eat which will fill you up, and is also well balanced in nutrients. Taco Bell pulled out an Ace with this one, and it's under $7. While you're at add a bowl of Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes for under $3 more. The good thing is that Taco Bell is in 51 states and over 3,300 cities in the U.S.
