I was really looking forward to the opening of this place having had Mark and DeAnna's food in the past. My expectations were met and exceeded - everything was delicious! I highly recommend the duck wings and their take on New England clam chowder.
I appreciate their commitment to scratch-made, fresh food. They also understand the importance of utilizing local farms' seasonal ingredients; they even have their own little "Chef's garden" right outside. I know when I sit down to a meal created by these talented chefs that I am in for a culinary adventure. The food here is innovative but also appeals to those who appreciate the classics.
The location is great too. Being right on the water with a patio and outdoor bar, there is no better time to check it out than right now. The vibe is really relaxed and intimate. My husband and I will be back soon!

I love this place. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly. Price wise not an everyday dinner but it's not a place you can only go one a year for a special occasion. Onto the food. Simply put it's amazing. The lamb sausage was superb, the lamb ribs with blueberry BBQ sauce was delightful, and the hot sauce maple syrup on the chicken and waffles I could drink straight.
TLDR: Gourmet food at a decent price.
Excellent food, cool menu, great service, fun time! It is an experience the foodie and the normal guy can both enjoy. I also had the distinct pleasure of working here briefly before moving to Florida.
The kitchen, back area, and dining room were always clean and the owner/chefs work hard for customer appeal. I highly recommend and would suggest the Chef's menu for a nice but of something new in a fun way. The charcuterie appetizer was a great way to get things started. You will talk about this ace to your friends, family, and colleagues, because it is that good!
This new restaurant is a gem! We had a great dinner on their patio. They play out the contrast of the sophisticated "Chef's menu" versus the rustic and homely "Cook's menu" to serve a wide selection of plates. Try to compare the same meal prepared by the chef and the cook to experience an undeniably unique dinner.
Earlier this week I finally made it out to The Chef & The Cook in Baldwinsville. I love the concept of this restaurant as there are two menus incorporated into one to showcase the evolution of a chef. One side of the menu has more comfort foods with familiar ingredients while the other side features more complex dishes.
Out of our group of friends, the consensus was that this was one of the best meals we’d had in a very long time! Everything was perfection - the flavors, the artistry on the plates, and the service. Check out my rack of lamb with a yogurt sauce and my husband’s farmhouse beef with a black garlic mousse. Delicious!
My Partner and I enjoyed the Valentine’s week special menu last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors involved in our meal. The mushroom bisque- I could have drowned myself in a vat of it, honestly. It and the steak and potato purée with asparagus were stars. We left delighted and in a food coma. We will be back!
This place is an absolute gem. Out of this world reimaginings of recognizable dishes that are done to perfection. The bar menu is just as creative. I have loved it every time I have been there, had incredible service and amazing dinner. Definitely go
We went for dinning week and boy was it absolutely delicious! Everything has so much flavor! The staff are also very friendly and super helpful with any questions you have! Definitely a favorite! 👌
Amazing spot right on the Seneca River. A very different and delicious culinary experience. Menu changes seasonally with new and tasty things to try. Awesome staff, love this place!
My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at The Chef and The Cook!! We started off sharing duck wings that were delightfully crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I enjoyed the lobster margarita and the scallops special. Both dishes were out of this world!! I tasted my friend’s
steak and it literally melted in my mouth. For dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake that was the perfect end to a perfect meal.
Service was excellent! The chefs/owners come to your table to explain the dishes. This is a nice touch on their part and really enhances the dining experience.
