This is Valerie Station, I will be officially reviewing my meal at La Burrita in Baltimore. What a beautiful summer evening for my first time at this establishment. Their outdoor seating area is perfection, but we decided to dine in.
Walking in the ambience was perfect and welcoming.
I received the most amazing, dirty martini and my partner ordered the super Clasico cocktail from a very attentive bartender named Alec.
I am an olive connoisseur, so I first ordered the olives off of the appetizer menu.
The complementary bread and oil was the best I have had ever . Really.
Highly recommended by Alec was the Fettuccine Del Bosque. It is creamy pasta dish that was made with homemade pasta and was cooked perfectly al dente, I could not stop eating it.
The Ojo De Bife was the second entree
we ordered. By then, the others I was with fell sleep, so that meant more steak for me.
It was a very delightful dining experience that let my party feeling very satisfied.
I was taking the flavor town and I will be going back again .
The food was delicious, the portion sizes were good, and the service was very good. It is a small venue; most of it is the bar. I would definitely visit again!
Customer service, Customer service, Customer service!!! Wow… I am truly enamored . Very impressed with the humble yet modern vibe of la barrita and the food definitely did not disappoint. We had reservations for 6:30pm on a Thursday and did not feel overcrowded or rushed. We had the delicious olives , polenta, NY strip and Ravioli. The ravioli could have been cooked a little longer but ultimately I would have it again. Parking is awful so take a Uber! We cannot wait to go back with a bigger party and try more! Gracias ☺️
This place is such a Gem. Our mixologist/server Alec made delicious drinks and had great recommendations. Alec was very knowledgeable of the dishes and other off menu special. Great play on a Argentinian/Italian combination. Food is fresh, clean and made in house. Place is very cozy and the food was outstanding. Cocktails were great. We tried the filet mignon, polenta with a mushroom cream sauce, risotto with shrimp, arugula salad and for dessert we had the flan and molten lava cake. Every dish was mouth watering. Thank me later!
The service was very attentive and genuine. The food had unexpected flavors that worked well and the place has a cool vibe. Make sure you make a reservation well in advance.
Great ambience and great food. The place is intimate and cozy with lots of mood lighting. The chickpeas were a great snacking appetizer and the specialty empanadas they had were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
Good taste was delicious, was amazing. But the place was extremely cold, it’s a small place it’s not recommended for kids. Was difficult to hear what the waitress was saying because the music was loud. But just for the food I will back
Celebrated my 30th birthday here!
The service and the food were on point. I also appreciate the owner and servers for being so attentive to our questions and needs.
Absolutely love this place. We sadly don't get there often enough, but have enjoyed every time. Great cocktails, superb service, and food out of this world! The spicy chickpeas are amazing, and the empanadas are amazing. Finished up with some gnocchi that was perfect.
Delicious food and a nice place. Everything we had was good.
Everyone was friendly, it was clean and well decorated.
We got the mixed grill for 2 and it didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to trying the Italian options next time.
The food is amazing. My sister had eggplant with pasta "shes a vegan" I had the Rib eye steak "I am a carnivore" and it was delicious. The ambient, atmosphere, was also great. And the chef and the owner were very attentive and nice. I highly recommend this amazing place.
Been twice and both were just as good! We showed up early to our reservation, but they were still able to seat us quickly. We had apps, you can't go wrong with the empanadas! And since we recalled thier meat dishes being more than enough food for the two of us to share and also wanted to try thier pasta this time. We did ravioles verdes. But the star of the plate was clearly the filet, perfectly cooked!
Cozy restaurant great ambiance. Everything we ordered came out great and very tasty. Steak was season and cooked beautifully. We will be back would definitely recommend for a date my night!
Graciously took us in late, main meals were very large portions and hearty, like meals you eat on a cold night. We got the special salmon risotto, I wasn't very in love with, felt it was missing something. The short rib ragu with gnocchi, which was very good and I recommend. Wasn't a fan of the beef empanadas, they weren't crispy enough, but had good flavor. The La Barrita salad I would eat 3 of, well dressed, right amounts of sweet, crunch, and acid. Service was very good.
We moved to the neighborhood last year and tried to go to La Barrita a couple of times without reservation and they didn't have any seats (BTW we noticed the restaurant gets less crowded after 9). This time we had a reservation, we were immediately seated and the service was very good. We had empanadas (they were big, super stuffed and delicious) and the parilladax2. The amount of meat that was served would probably be enough for 4 people and it was very nicely prepared. Unfortunately we did not have room for dessert!
Had a wonderful first experience at La Barrita the other day. I was looking for a cozy spot for a dinner with friends and was not let down. We tried a couple things from the menu and was very happy with all of it, but the real show stealer was the short rib risotto.
La Barrita first opened its doors in 2018. This authentic and fresh steak house features a farm to table concept straight from South America, with hints of Italian and European influence. My most fav dish there is the grill octopus over quinoa. Simply delicious, healthy and perfectly seasoned. Love a strong sangria? This is the spot for you!
Enjoy their outdoor patio space, located in the heart of Butchers Hill, Baltimore. La Barrita will have you thinking that Butcher’s Hill is the new Brooklyn NY – or even the new Buenos Aires.
I can't say enough about this place. It was a much needed dinner after a long stay at the hospital. The service was great. The food was delicious. We cant wait to come back.
