We're from Orlando and really had no idea what to expect from downtown Baton Rouge. We picked this place to eat because it had something for everyone (one is a vegetarian, two are simple to please meat eaters, and I favor seafood). We dined there around 3pm on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy. The music was nice to listen to and the restaurant was styled in rustic industrial with a big Louisiana mural on the back wall. It looked like they had a lot of beers on tap but we didn't order anything. Neily was our bartender/server and she was very nice, welcoming, and attentive even though she was the only one on the floor. My boyfriend and friend both had the DCB burgers which they said were juicy, flavorful, and filling. My vegetarian friend had the veggie burger which was basically a mushroom burger with the traditional burger set up and she said it was a great burger since she loves mushrooms. I had the smoked shrimp roll which was delicious! I don't usually get stuff like that back home. Both couples got a large steak fries bowl to share and there was a lot of fries! The fries were extra though but the portion size definitely outweighed the price ($2.50 for small or $5 for large). After we were finished we talked about how good the food was. Overall everything was delicious and Neily took great care of us! If you're looking for a spot to have some good lunch Driftwood is your place. :)

Diamond in the rough. With all the posh places downtown, this joint has the right location and is onto something with its ambiance. They have tons of beers that you'd love to try. The food was tasty and the service staff was friendly and competent.

New place in downtown. They have a good variety of beer on tap and well drinks. I tried the American Porter they have, amazing, a must If you like dark beer. When I visited they didn't have table service nor food, I have the sense this is because they just opened. The place is big, clean bathrooms, DJ, not too loud so you can talk, it probably becomes louder after 10. Prices are on the average side, the porter was around $6 and the bartenders are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is like a modern casual pub to go after work. I will definitely coming back! - and I will update my review after my second visit. So, still no kitchen and my favorite beer isn't listed anymore. Still an amazing beer selection but gotta took one star since no food service. Update: Owner replied, kitchen closes after 10. Put that star back.
