Visited Blood Bros. BBQ during their happy hour on Thursdays. Unfortunately, they do not serve BBQ during the happy hour which was a little disappointing. The happy hour menu changes each week.
The place was packed for my visit and I dined on the outside patio. I had the brisket fried and the ground brisket burger. The burger was very juicy and flavorful. The rice was also very tasty. I look forward to visiting during normal hours to try the BBQ.
Good BBQ! I personally don't think it's the best, but I like this place because it's more balanced. Let me explain. Killen's is a great BBQ place, but for me personally it is so heavy that I can't eat there very often. Blood Bros still has good BBQ, which is not as heavy and they offer less traditional sides (such as the brisket fried rice which was yummy) that can create that balance versus eating straight BBQ. The sauces were great and I could not choose which sauce I liked more. My favorite thing was the beef rib. So moist! Overall, this is a solid BBQ place and I would definitely consider it an option when I'm craving BBQ.
One of the best bbq places in Houston. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. It was our good friend’s birthday and we all love bbq so it was a great opportunity. We got their around 20 mins before opening in case there was a line. There were about 4 parties in front of us. We were excited and wanted to try it all. We got 2.5 pounds of fatty brisket, a beef rib that was about 2 pounds, a jalapeño cheddar sausage link and a red chili sausage link. We also got brisket and pork belly burnt ends. For sides we got the brisket fried rice, jalapeño Cole slaw and the ambrosia salad. All in large. The brisket was delicious. Nice bark and very moist. I thought a bit more salt was needed but that’s just me. The beef rib was some of the best we’ve had since Muellers in Austin. Both the sausage links were coarse ground and delicious. Both the burnt ends were good but the pork belly burnt ends were amazing! The brisket fried rice was awesome and the Cole slaw was good but the ambrosia salad was out of this world. Brought back memories from childhood. The service was great and the line moved quickly. The have a full bar that you can drinks at separately so you don’t need to wait in the full line. We had a lot of leftovers so we’ll be enjoying this in the days to come. If you haven’t tried it, do it!
