I like the atmosphere of this place very much. I sat in the back. The tables are not cramped together, one on top of another. You can tell right away that they put some thought and spacing into the layout which creates a very good refreshing feeling. It is not claustrophobic at all. Another thing that I really liked was that they bring you a carafe of water and an actual small water drinking glass versus those gigantic oversized pint glasses most restaurants give you , just so you don't bug them so much for refills. I thought that was a nice touch and combines perfectly with the spatial feel the restaurant has. I had the Pizza and a Cola. Which were excellent !!! It was so good , I didn't wait for it to cool off and burnt the roof of my mouth. I will be back , as I found Gio's Pizza and Bocce to be offering a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere combined with good food and a friendly staff.
Really enjoyed our visit during the soft opening. I've never really tried vermouth before, but the Cocchi Americano Rosa they recommended was excellent! All the food was great; my daughter loved the fettucine alfredo and the mushroom/sausage pizza was fantastic. I remember the place when it was Giovanni's and it was dark and crowded and uninviting. Gio's is open and airy, and the indoor bocce court means the kids can play while we eat. We'll definitely be back!
This place was open for the Warriors game last night. One man was serving and he was great!
The food was delicious and I’d recommend the pineapple beer! I’ll be going back for sure!
