I was craving tacos but definitely not taco bell!!! So I came on yelp and gordos popped up and it said it was 3mins away from me....3mins away? I have lived in homewood for 5years how could I miss it? Well I have been but please believe me I will be a regular soon :) the workers are soooooo nice!! We walked in thru the grocery store the restaurant is to your left and up the stairs. As soon as I got upstairs I saw the BIGGEST pork skins ever lolol like HUGE! I arrived around 5ish there was about 5 other people there. Was able to place my order very quick. They have a open kitchen so you can see what's going on. The have a Salas bar with all types of Salas :) the guy cooking helped me pick a Salas which I thought was so kind of him :) the food....omgggggg it was heavennnn! The huarache boy is boy the meat was cooked to perfection and the tacos!!! Like literally I just got home from there and I rushed to type this review! I can't believe I been missing out!!! Oooo and they are open 7days a week!!! Ok okok let me calm down lol. After we were done eating we walked up another flight of stairs that we kept seeing people go to so we decided to be nosey and boy I'm sooooo glad we did!! It's a beautiful bakery!!! All pastry are $1!!! I really want to get in my car right now and go get more but I'll wait til tomorrow and just snack on my pastries lol. Gordos you have a new life customer!!!!
Authentic, cheap, and delicious. Obsessed with their tacos. I've been probably 6 times this month, and we do NOT eat out often. It's close to where we live, so cheap, so good, and gives me a reason to practice my Spanish. Tacos are amazing, and love getting special treats from the bakery. The market down stairs is super cute, but I haven't purchased anything from there yet. Love, love, love this place and so glad we live close by!
GOOD SPOT. EVERYTHING THERE!
