I haven't met a sandwich from Locust Valley Deli that I haven't liked. They're experts in creating delectable bites, and I plan to try all of them.
Locust Avenue Deli. After working in the area for some time now, Locust ave Deli, has transformed from one end of the spectrum to the other, as if the recent remodel was all they needed; I have to admit, the subs were never bad, however venturing inside always seemed a bit like an Indiana Jones adventure, just less fun and more seedy...
That being said, the turn around is remarkable, all the food looks great, and the sandwiches are fantastic. Fine service to. I still haven't tried their hot foods, nor do I think I'll ever care to, however this is the best Deli in the area, beating out Cookys, in price and quality (again, maybe not the daily hot foods).
My go to hero is the Blazin' Buffalo - awesome with tomato! 8 bux after tax and will leave you stuffed.
Drive a couple extra blocks and check it out.
This deli has fresh and delicious food! The place has recently been completely remodeled and looks absolutely beautiful. The are amazing and there is always fresh hot food available on the steam table. They even updated their menu and I am always trying out all the fresh . The Asian chicken is so good! Check the place out, I'm sure you'll be happy. :)
